To start, I and very few others, were the "Merging Class" from Owen College in September, 1968. Although we were honored with interviews and a front page story by the Commercial Appeal Newspaper at that time, LeMoyne did not welcome us! Considering the era one would think an HBCU would welcome students from another HBCU showing respect and honor for students willing to continue their college education at a much higher cost!
