Soulsville Kitchen and Market — Restaurant in Memphis

Decided to go to soulsville on today because I was craving some hotwings. Once I arrived I was definitely inspecting to see a restaurant but instead I got a small gas station on the corner. Which at first I was hesitant but I thought to myself my coworkers and I have ordered from here on doordash before and the wings where pretty good. So anyway I go in and place my order with this guy and he writes everything down and I pay for my food; then I ask how long will it be?? He states “15 to 20 mins” so I’m like cool and go to my car and wait for about 25 mins. So once I go inside and check on my order a different guy states that my order is still cooking. So again I’m like cool and I wait another 15 mins. So I walk back into the store to inquire about my food again however this time there is not a ticket for my food. So tell how my food go from cooking to we don’t have an ticket? At this time I’m watching two of the three guys look for my ticket and the guy who took my order sitting at the register looking mindless. So that’s when I guess a light popped on and he stated “oh yea here’s her ticket.”🤯 when I tell you I’m hot at this point. So then the manager/ supervisor I’m not really sure what his title is say he is about to put my order in the front and it should be 15 mins. I had already been there at this point for 45 mins. Received my food an hour later: fries soggy, wings barely had sauce, and chips where stale. I will definitely not be returning to soulsville kitchen/gas station, NEVER AGAIN...

I ordered my food thru UberEATS. The value for the quantity of food was great. The value for the quality of the food was outstanding. Each bite tasted so fresh and so great. I am not certain who came up with the idea of the Soulsville Special Fries but HOLY SMOKES!!!! All that delicious flavor packed in that container. It is a full meal for at 2 people. It’s like a great cheesesteak mixed with the perfect chili nachos sitting on top of delicious fries. The amount you get for the price is terrific. It was by far my favorite of the night. The burgers are made great - real meat not a frozen bubba patty like the fast food joints. The tops looked and tasted so fresh. The Philly cheesesteak I ordered with extra cheese and boy did I get extra cheese. It was made perfectly. The steak they use is good and tasty. The seasoned fries were good as well. They followed order notes to a “T”. This place is a MUST EAT HERE PLACE. It seems as if they have a good variety of food to meet most people’s likes. The quality and quantity would be hard to match. I really was optimistic regarding Soulsville but was disappointed when I received my meal via DoorDash. Its really disheartening when small black businesses miss the mark because I truly want to see them thrive and patronize them but when things are consistently wrong its difficult to rationalize continued business. I ordered the catfish sandwich and a smoke sausage very simple things that it should be no problem accomodating. I specifically asked for my cole slaw on the side and the dressings to the catfish sandwich to be on the side because I didn't want it to be soggy because I know delivery drivers have multiple stops. What did I get? You guessed it no cole slaw at all and every fixing on my catfish sandwich which was lettuce, tomato and it was alllll soggy. I think its safe to say this business does not adhere to detail when it comes to third party delivery, because nothing I asked for was done. I will not be eating here again via delivery service. I may try to eat there inside but it isn't looking...
