Pulled in for an overnighter, tried to get hold of the camphost when we got tyere and got no answer. No idea where to park so we just picked a pull through and hooked up. I only managed to get cell service behind the restrooms. Talking of restrooms, if these are the new facilities, i would have hated to see the old! Wipe your feet on the way out. Talk about a “shelter in the storm”, this RV park saved me as I was caught in an ice storm and hit some black ice on the highway when I lost control of my travel trailer. I knew I had to stop and found Menard. Such a blessing!! I was greeted by some full timers who got me all settled and even brought me soup that night!! Beautiful & affordable. Large sites, huge Oak & Pecan trees shade entire campground. Entire park is well kept, mowed, no trash on ground, the San Sabas River runs right behind campground. We were passing through on our way home, we will come back to spend some time here. The Presidio San Sabas & the Mission San Sabas are close by and worth seeing.
