Great entertainment! We went on Sunday and made the trek out to Mendota to see the parade, Jesse White Tumblers and South Shore Drill Team - spectacular! There were a ton of food options. You gotta try the deep fried tacos. I ate two ears of the free sweet corn and brought one home only because I was stuffed from the Hungarian chimney cone, bbq wings, cheese fries, and so much more. There were vendors selling everything imaginable. And if you have little guys the carnival was their highlight. Great time!

Nice layout around the block. Well lit. Lots of happy people. Good fair food with lots of vendors to choose from. Plenty of police presence. Very safe feeling.

This used to be a great show.. USED TO BE.

The show started off with ladies of the chamber yelling at vendors for setting up like they have been doing for years on friday.

The mood of the show was terrible, like the staff hates the vendors and did things to spite them. Parking chamber vehicles and even semis in front of the tents. Telling vendors to leave. Giving vendors dirty looks. Etc.

The entertainment all day Saturday was banda dancers from Mexico. It was the same music over and over. Sad, there could have been diversity in the entertainment. Country, rock, blues, jazz. Nope just banda music from mexico.

Needless to say it didn't draw a very big crowd.. most people in this small community do NOT speak Spanish.

The parade was filled with rap and bass. One truckload of speakers after another. Nobody could hear each other speak. Music is fun, but this was obnoxious. People started leaving.. can't say I blamed them.

The attendance was way down.. 60,000 2 years ago. Now maybe 10k including staff.

It was underwhelming. For a sweet corn festival, there wasnt much sweet corn and what sweet corn there was...tasted like it wasnt ready to be eatin. We had gone 3 days in a row. Way way way way too little seating. They want to bring people in and to come spend money but they provide 6-10 picnic tables. Really makes it inconvenient when people bring the whole family and you have breastfeeding moms sitting on the dirty ground feeding an infant and toddlers sitting next to her trying to eat. Its gross its inconsiderate. If your going to have a festival like this, there needs to be a food tent with adequate seating for the amount of people your about to bring in. It seems like every year there's less and...
