A guy my husband works with said we should try El Rey Del Taco and boy we are glad we did. Being it is during a pandemic cleanliness and masks mean a lot to us. They were all wearing masks and the place was spotless. We got our meals to go and they were packaged very nicely and everything was hot and fresh when we started eating it. The food was delicious and the menu is varied with many protein options to choose from. We got a bunch of different things and everyone tried a bit of each thing. The salsa was very good and the hot sauces both green and red were very good. It was nice when you order tacos you choice corn or flour shells and if you want them made in the Mexican or American style. The chimi was one of the best we have ever had. The place is handicap accessible with a ramp from the parking lot to the door. I was very impressed with the friendly and efficient staff.

I would probably give it more like 3.5 if it were an option. I recently moved into the area and have been wanting good Mexican ever since. I would say this qualifies as good, but not great. Al pastor is always my go to when I'm trying a new place. I found it to be full of flavor, well trimmed, but too saucy. This is not traditional sliced from the spit type Al pastor. The salsa served with the chips is very watery, without a lot of flavor, and very mild. It's perfect for young kids. All in all, I'll consider it again if I don't find a better option.

1st time here & will definitely be back. I been looking for this place since spring..they have to put a sign up front. I thought it was the railroad building the time I was looking for it back in May. Food very delicious & customer service perfect. And the tres leches yummy 😋 Thank u

Food was good, but the other Mexican restaurants in town have as good, or in some cases, better food for same price. Why one star? In over 30 years, I've never been to a worse restaurant for service.

My Dad and I were the only ones there. We waited so long for the check that I almost walked out. Why did we wait? Because the worthless staff was watching Telemundo 10 feet away from us. That's not even the worst.

My brother paid for an online coupon account that the restaurant was a part of. He gave us coupons we could try out. The owner refused to honor, now if he said something like he had no idea what it was, I'd be skeptical, but move on. He flat out lied to my face and said they were for another restaurant just down the road. Even though it had his name and address on it.

To wrap up just do this, go literally...

Definitely an interesting spot. I guess it used to be the Whistlestop in a previous life. Still has the scale model train overhead in the bar. Margaritas were freshly made and traditional. Lots of lime and orange liqueur. Salsa was fantastic. Chips could have been fresher. Guacamole needed waaay more life. Asada was kinda meh. Al pastor, delicious. Chicken, delicious. Torta was too big to finish in one sitting (but I got two tacos as well just to try the other meats, so... ), so that was my lunch the next day. Red hot sauce, oh my god, I would have just put it in a glass and drank it. 🔥 stuff. Overall opinion : definitely going back and looking forward...
