Customers...BEWARE!
If I could give this locker plant the number of stars that it actually deserves, it would be a NEGATIVE number. But seeing as I can't give it ZERO stars, one will have to do.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this locker plant to anyone. The quality of the meat once processed is.... well....there is just one word for what the meat tasted like....GROSS.
Whether it hung too long, or they just don't know how to process meat properly or what, all I know is that this meat not only reeks, but tastes worse than it smells.
Never have I eaten anything that tasted so nauseating. I have raised my own beef, as have my parents when they were alive, and never have I tasted anything that made me literally gag when trying to eat it. That is the reaction to the taste of this meat every time I tried eating it.
$1216.00 down the drain! The owners don't want to make it right. Never will this happen again.
So, if you have had a good experience until now, consider yourself lucky. Just be aware that if you don't have a good experience, they will not try to make the situation right and will avoid contact with you. I don't know about you, but I don't know many people who can afford a $1216.00...

Was charged vacuum seal charge for all meat but 4 out of 8 boxes were hamburger and were packaged in plastic bags (no seal) Be more clear on your charges
Prices compared to the previous facility we used (which was much cleaner) for tenderize,stew,patties was $2.00 vs .50 ; $2.50 vs $1.00 ; $3.00 vs 1.00 ; slaughter fee higher. All around everything was more expensive.
How can you take a steer for processing that weighed 1125 lbs./hanging 615 / packaged 360 at the other facility and the one going to Meridian weight 1330 lbs/ hanging 750 / packaged 367 lbs. We ended up with 7 lb difference on a 205 more lb. steer.

   Read moreI carried a wild hog to this company and give them Specific Instructions on what I wanted done I am autoimmune and I explained to them that I wanted my breakfast sausage made a certain way and they did that then I proceeded to explain to them several different times that the sausage links I wanted done the regular way so the rest of my family does not have to eat the way I have to and I told the gentleman several times to do the links the way they always do them and he wrote it up on the ticket but there was scribbling all over the ticket when I got the meat the links were horrible you cook them on the grill and they just crumble I tried to explain this to them and all the owner could say was you sign the ticket he did not want to help me in any way try to fix it or anyting he just kept saying you sign the ticket I do not recommend this place the customer...
