The South course is a wonderful, challenging 18 hole course with excellent greens and well trimmed fairways. There are plenty of challenging holes where you're hitting uphill or over water. Not normally too crowded but it can be on the weekends. If it's too busy for me I just play at the North Executive course where you don't need a tee time. Their score cards clearly show the map of the course which you don't often see.

This was our first time playing this course. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pro shop had everything you need to make the day great. The course was in great shape and the price was right. I recommend anyone traveling through northern Indiana/SQ Michigan, to stop and experience this fun, playable track!

Apparently it was my fault for booking a tee time during a tournament at a public municipal course with my 7 year old on a Saturday morning, because we were immediately met with disrespect by multiple members of the staff at the course. While checking in, I was informed that if my son wasn't "good" he shouldn't be playing because of the tournament going on that we weren't made aware of until that point. I informed him that we usually scramble and he picks up after almost all of his shots so that shouldn't be a problem. The starter then came over to us in the parking lot 8 minutes before our 7:28 tee time to inform us that 'it's our box and we need to keep up with the pace of play' our full group of 5 including my 7 year old, rushed to the tee box and hit our first shots. Our group shot, 1 birdie, 2 pars, and 1 bogey in 8 minutes on the first hole. Before we could make it to the 2nd hole the starter stopped one of our twosomes to inform them that we should again "keep up with the pace of play" we tee'd off on the 2nd hole and before we could even reach the green the starter AGAIN stopped my cart in our group again to tell us that "we really need to pick up the pace and keep it moving because there's a tournament going on" to which I replied "WHY ARE YOU BOOKING PUBLIC TEE TIMES DURING A TOURNAMENT IF YOU DON'T WANT THE PUBLIC TO PLAY HERE"? we were 11 minutes into our round, already wrapping up our second hole, interrupted 3 times in that span to "keep up" on a PUBLIC MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE that we are overpaying to play on to begin with. After we finished our 2nd hole, our group decided if we were going to keep getting hounded for no reason, we'd rather just not play, like they wanted it to be to begin with. Of course since our experience was so terrible in such a short span of time and bordered on harassment, we went to the pro shop to request a refund. The most senior person in charge, Paul, then agreed to refund our group and allow us to play on the North course free of charge since we still wanted to play our PUBLIC MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE, but not if it meant we were going to be treated like non-members at a country club. He informed us that we had to contact GOLF NOW to issue the refund and he would oblige when the request came through and took our names down for when that occurred. When we arrived at the North course, the staff there had to contact Paul to verify that our round was on the house and delivered on that portion of the agreement, or so we were led to believe. One member of our party was frustrated enough by the South course's staff interactions that he decided he was not going to play the North course and left. We played our round with no issues on the North course and my son was even able to participate fully without being bullied by staff for fictional pace of play issues. No complaints about the North course staff or quality of the course. After our round was over we returned our cart to the south course and went home where it was then time to call GOLF NOW to handle my refund. When I contacted golf now to initiate the refund, they had to contact the south course to verify that a refund would be coming back to me for not playing the course. When they contacted the course, they talked to Paul, who informed them that we would not be getting a refund because we had not paid to play at the North course and refused to allow the refund to go through as discussed. Frustrated by this, I contacted Paul at the South course, who then still refused to acknowledge his agreement to make this situation more bearable for being berated and bullied by the staff under his watch and "authority". I ended up only receiving my refund for the person that decided not to play at all. Bottom line is that my group would have simply played a different, larger and overall better course where we were going to be allowed to play at an actual reasonable pace without being berated by course staff if we had known we weren't going to play the smaller executive for free as compensation for their terrible staff...

Played few weeks back and it's a shame I can only give 5 stars. Usually when you say a course is a great value, you expect it to be a bit rough around the edges. Not here. This was probably one of the greatest values in golf I've had in almost 20 yrs of playing. Course was in excellent condition - especially for the time of year. Greens rolled true and were a bit faster than what you'd see at course of comparable price. Fairways were in excellent condition. Also a beautiful course to walk - countless massive oak and walnut trees. The course itself offered a great mix of holes - several risk/reward shorter par 4s, doglegs begging you to try and bomb it over. To top it off the clubhouse staff are incredibly nice people. Can't wait to play again next time...

Made a reservation for 3 foursomes a few months in advance. We called into the office to make it the reservations and received email confirmations of all 3. We called to confirm 7 days out and they said they had no record of the reservations and they conveniently booked a tournament/event that day so we could not rebook.

They told us to give a call the following day to speak with the clubhouse manager. We did and the clubhouse employee took our number down again as he was not in and said he would give us a call back. Never did

Not very professional. Glad we called in time to book...
