While I fully support the cause, I'd rather just give a cash donation to Volunteers in Medicine. As many other reviewers stated, the prices are insanely ridiculous. Higher than the retail price in some cases. My first visit there was also my last, sadly. I saw some margarita glasses I knew they sold at dollar tree, marked at $8 apiece! That was around the time it first opened.
My husband must have forgotten about my experience because the other day when I was getting ready to host a large group for dinner, an entire shelf collapsed and sent all my glass drinkware tumbling to the ground and shattering. We live close to this shop, so he thought he'd run over and grab some wine glasses to replace ours. They were asking $4 each for average quality. He went to Habitat Restore instead, where all glasses are fifty cents.
This is not a thrift store. I can't recommend it based on how they price things. I'll never be back, sticking to Habitat Restore and the VA one down by the DMV in Cape May/Villas area. Support Volunteers in Medicine, by all means, but through cash donations rather than at their expensive...
Read moreClean and well organized. However, I thought the woman at the counter today was really rude... a little nicer once I bought a bunch of stuff. As other reviews state, most items are severely overpriced for a thrift store. Some item pricing are literally equivalent to buying at Marshall's. They should be cheaper even brand name items because they are a thrift store. Better pricing for Coach, Kate spade, etc on online market platforms. In addition to their overpriced items, there's a surcharge for credit card use. Not sure I...
Read moreNice enough thrift store, everything is organized really well but WOW the prices here are CRAZY.
I found so many things marked at prices that were just laughable. They get all this stuff for free but then charge twice the price of eBay. It's honestly gross. I don't understand what's with thrift stores acting like they're high end antique stores. Especially in this location. The high end thrift stores in Ocean City even have better prices than this place.
Won't ever be back and definitely telling people to stay...
