I was there yesterday. I recently joined a gun range that has archery facilities, and wanted to get into archery while I wait on my LTC from Boston. I decided to come here to buy my archery supplies, and couldn't be happier with the experience. This place has everything, and at very reasonable prices! Bows of all shapes and sizes, arrows, sights, carrying cases, and all sorts of other goodies. Plus, they have an indoor archery range!!!!
The young man who helped me out was very patient and knowledgeable. His first pick wound up being perfect for me! I asked for a compound bow that was lightweight, with a low draw poundage, that I would be using just for target, and that I didn't care about name brands. I got EXACTLY what I asked for. He let me fire as many arrows as I needed until I was happy with the sights (which he adjusted for me on the spot) and even went through the trouble of restringing and re-lubing my bow string to put the plastic finger grips on before I bought it! He made sure I had all the equipment I needed, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. The young man was also very respectful of my budget. I told him I wan't looking to spend too much more than $400 for everything, and he didn't try to up-sell me once. My purchase for all my equipment was within my budget, accordingly, and I got the compound bow, the sight, 20 arrows with a synthetic feather fletching, a hard carrying case for the arrows, and a soft carrying case with lots of pockets for the bow.
The owner and other employees there were very friendly and knowledgeable. I'll be coming back for any and all archery needs going forward, even though it's an hour-long drive from home, and I'll be recommending this place to...
Read moreI've been a customer for years. The owner, Chris, earned my loyalty when he talked me into trying a bow that listed for $100.00 less than the one I had asked him about. When I bought it, he swapped out my old rest and sight to the new bow, and didn't knock the stuff I had bought elsewhere. He set me up, tuning the bow, swapping cam modules, and adjusting the peep sight until I was comfortable and accurate. In time I upgraded the rest and arrows to products they sell. I was happy to buy that stuff there knowing their commitment to customer service, and that they stand behind their products and services. Most adjustments to gear bought there is free of charge. They want you happy walking out the door if you spend your hard earned cash there. If you are only interested in saving a couple of bucks, don't bother quoting some cut rate Internet price there. This is a pro shop. They don't sell junk, and they spend whatever time you need to get it right. Fit is more important than specs on any bow. Bring a cup of coffee and plan on browsing while you wait for your turn, it's worth waiting for.
P.s. if you don't need a 'flagship' latest and greatest model, they have affordable options in their Mission line, a Matthews product, and some leftover (last year models) at times. These guys pretty much all enthusiasts, so if you are just looking for a whitetail hunting bow, or a casual shooter, let them know what your expectations and budget are, and they will reign in their own preferences for high end, state of...
Read moreHuge Disappointment! Staff will completely ignore you! My Dad and I drove an hour and a half to visit Reedy’s. We called this past Saturday to make sure they would be open on Monday, President’s Day. The employee who answered not only assured us they would be open, but we were told they would open at 10am. We got there at 10:30 am just to find out they don’t open until 12pm Mon-Fri. We kill time til they open, we walk in, and are completely ignored by staff (who are just talking w/each other) for about 15 min. I finally go over and ask for help. An associate comes over and my Dad explains that he’s an avid archer, however his bows are older and he wants to upgrade to a newer model Hoyt (LF) especially since the pull off is a lot smoother. The associate asks how much my dad’s looking to spend, my dad replies “about $1K-$1200”. The associate says he’ll be right back. No one ever came back to assist us. We waited 20 more min before my dad finally said forget it and we left. I had heard good things and was looking forward to visiting Reedy’s for the 1st time. What a HUGE disappointment! My decided to go to Big Al’s in Seabrook, NH instead. We were immediately greeted, assisted, and the owner, Danny, goes to great lengths to make sure you don’t leave with a bow you’re not 100%...
