Ben Franklin Print Co., Inc. — Local services in Middleton

I came to Ben Franklin Print Co. hoping to build a long-term partnership with a reliable screen printing shop. I sold seven figures last year and was looking for a print partner to handle regular bulk orders as my business grows. I even drove nearly an hour each way to drop off my garments because I trusted the quality I’d seen before.

Unfortunately, the experience I had was disappointing. Shirts I had spent hundreds of dollars on were placed on visibly unclean surfaces during intake. One pile was placed in a desk space where a pizza box had just been removed, potentially exposing the garments to grease residue. Another pile was placed on top of a notebook with visible pencil lead and a pencil resting on it, which was in direct contact with my shirts. When I respectfully expressed concern about how the garments were being handled, I was met with defensiveness.

I was told I’d receive an email on Friday outlining the process — including information about a mock-up I was supposed to receive the following week — but no follow-up email ever came.

When I reached out in writing to reiterate how important the condition of my shirts was, the owner replied in a tone that felt dismissive and more focused on defending their reputation than addressing a paying customer’s valid concern. I’ve saved the full email, as well as a photo of the intake area, for my records.

Ultimately, the shop declined to proceed with the job and stated they could not ensure the shirts would be returned clean. I agreed to pick up my garments and was issued a refund.

As someone who works over 70 hours a week and made a sincere effort to support a local business, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I hope this feedback encourages the team to improve their intake process, communication, and the way they respond to...

I cannot say enough good things about Ben Franklin Print Co.! I went to Joe to have a couple of my drawings screen printed on tees and hoodies. Not only did I receive my goods with an exceptional quality print, but I also received fantastic service from the first conversation to the moment I drove away from the shop with my order neatly packed in my passenger seat. After finding Ben Franklin on IG, I reached out to obtain info for van magnets and yard signs for my hardwood floor business. Joe and his crew were able to use my current logo and add my contact info. This process was seamless, and I was very impressed with the level of communication and response times. All mock up approvals and payments were do-able online and made the turnaround time quite quick. Looking forward to using Ben Franklin again soon for stickers or shirts!
