I will never purchase office furniture from anywhere else! I shopped multiple locations both local and online, both national and smaller retailers. As a professional buyer, I have also purchased multiple brands of office furniture from multiple retailers. The customer service, price, quality, and selection of Madison was excellent compared to my previous experiences with other retailers.

The Madison furniture is VERY customizable!
I had a list of things I was looking for in a desk so it would fit perfectly in the space in my home office. No matter how much I searched, no one had what I wanted.
From Madison, I ordered exactly the desk I wanted. Try to find a 36” depth desk that is at least 60” wide, with an L return that has a 30” depth. And here’s the thing: their desks and L returns can be ordered in customizable widths/lengths (adjustable plus or minus in 6” increments), and multiple depths. The message here: get the desk that’s ordered and built just for you!
Other customizable points:
If you ask, they will add cable holes wherever you want them (in the desk, the L return, or the lower panels) capped off with nice grommets. The drawer pedestal can be attached to the desk, can include wheels, or can have a top piece to match the desk. I chose to leave the top piece off and went without the wheels so it would fit under the desk. I left it unattached so I can easily move it around to whatever position under the desk or L return I want. It looks like it’s attached, but it’s not. They have a list of finishes to choose from.
Other points: The hutch I purchased has an opening tall enough for my two 28” monitors to comfortably fit underneath (very hard to find! I tried before I found Madison). I like that the hutch has an open center shelf for easy to grab stuff and frosted glass doors to hide stuff behind on the sides. I use the very top of the hutch for my modem, a surge protector, an external hard drive, etc. Compared to all the other furniture I looked at and have purchased previously, including name brand office furniture, this furniture is thick and sturdy. It’s laminate, just like most of the other stuff out there, but it’s really sturdy, and has a nice finish. It was built to last. Unless you are willing to spend big on solid wood furniture, and unless the limited solid wood size options work for you, the Madison laminated furniture is the way to go. As a side note- the Madison furniture did not have a formaldehyde smell like I experienced with some other furniture. The price was very reasonable, and less than furniture I looked at from other places. Customer service was great. Madison Liquidators walked me through the options after I explained what I was looking for.
Before contacting Madison Liquidators, I called other places. The other places took my information, said they would call me back, but never did. They just wanted to move on to the next quick easy sale. Madison helped me choose the size I wanted, and choose from various styles, and finishes. They really helped me get the exact desk I wanted for my home office.
The only thing I would do different- I would have purchased a desk one size wider than the width of the hutch. The hutch fits perfectly on the desk. But it’s so perfect, when you are putting the desk together and get to point where you set the hutch on top of the desk, you have to be careful not to accidentally push one side over the edge of desk. Once the hutch is secure using the double sided tape, it won’t move at all. But to make installation easier, I recommend purchasing a desk 6” wider than the hutch just to give you a 6” cushion when setting the hutch on top of the desk. Either that, or make sure you and your friend are extra careful when setting the hutch on the desk.
Also, don’t forget to tell them if you want extra grommet holes and where you want them.

Sep 23 - I received my replacement file cabinet with working locks! I am happy with my purchase.
Sept 28 - Let BBB and Madison Liquidators know I received the replacement file cabinet without issue. Changed my 1 start to 3 star rating. This was way too much effort on my part versus ML just sending me a replacement like any other business.

Jul 23. Issue 1: Delivery mix up and did not receive my order after the delivery company called to confirm. I contact Support and they contacted their 3rd party vendor to find out what happened. Got that resolved and it was finally delivered. No scratches looked good. Accepted delivery.
Jul 28. Issue 2: One of the drawers did not lock. Reached out to Support for assistance. I work with Ray, Ashley, Nicole (she was the best) and still not fix.
Jul 28 - Aug 25: Back and forth with Support to fix the issue. I have sent videos, I followed the instructions provided and still no fix. My last email was asking who to escalate to because they wanted another video to show them AGAIN the lock does not work, which I did not because if I tell you it does not work it does not work. What do I have to gain by making this up? I want to use my file cabinet and get my stuff out of boxes. Six days later no response...crickets.
Sep 1: Sending another follow-up email to see what is going on. COVID at this point has nothing to do with the quality of the product. Replace it (and make sure all the drawers lock) or have someone to come and fix it, but this is too much effort any customer...
Read moreI ordered two L shaped desks with drawers from Madison. While the items themselves are nice, I cannot recommend buying from this company due to the overall experience.
Beware the online checkout process - there is no order review/confirmation page, if you make a mistake on the original input.
The online store is buggy - the item quantity and total price of my cart did not match what was actually ordered, causing me to have to contact customer service to correct the order.
The items I ordered were out of stock, but the website did not indicate this, and customer service did not send me any notification about this within a reasonable amount of time. I spent 2 weeks wondering when my items would arrived before I finally reached out to them, at which point they informed me they weren't in stock.
They do not have an inventory system that can stay up to date with their manufacturers, causing two more iterations of my adjusted orders also being out of stock, after being told they were in stock.
Their internal communication seems disorganized, as I was contacted by 2 customer service people that I could not determine if they knew about the other's chat history with me, as they were both relaying the same info.
When the final order iteration was finally placed, I still did not receive tracking information until after the items already arrived (yet you are expected to be present for delivery)
I have to wait another 2 months for the final part of one of the desks to arrive, as the out of stock notice for that part arrived at the same time as the tracking info (aka after delivery).
