Unfortunately I had a bad experience at Brown and Beam (Middleton location). I liked the store and the furniture they had on display was very nice, but I feel I got treated poorly. I went in a week ago today and was interested in a table that was listed as a final sale. The manager stated that it was a "final sale and they were moving inventory". I told the manager/owner I was interested in the table but had to measure my room first to make sure the table would fit. The store is only open on Fridays and Saturdays 10 am-5pm . I called 4 days later on Wednesday and the same manager/owner happened to be there even though the store was closed. I told her the table will fit and that I will be in first thing when they open on Friday with our flooring samples. I communitcated to her that If flooring samples match the table I will purchase. Today (Friday... a week after I stopped in and 2 days after I called) I went to the store to purchase the table but I was told by the same manger/owner the fianl sale did not apply anymore and that she would not sell me the table at that price. I questioned that it was posted as a final sale item. She was willing to sell it at 15% off the list price but not the final sale price which was a difference of $150, I understand that sale prices come and go, but I thought it was poor business on Brown and Beam not communicating the change of price when I called on Wednesday stating I would purchase it and also poor business not selling me the table today at the "final sale price" knowing that I was coming to get it. Read moreVery poor customer service. I'm not one to write a review but this definitely calls for one. When placing an on-line order for Stools, the only option was to select "White Glove Delivery" for $150.00. Note - Only Option. I received my delivery on Saturday - the stools were very light, they removed them from the truck, carried them into the house, placed them in the kitchen and left. I sent an email indicating that $150 delivery fee was outrageous. I received a follow-up call today - and was basically blamed for not sending them an email requesting different delivery. So, it was totally my fault even though there were no other options when ordering. Great product - horrible customer service - will never order from Brown and Beam again.
I would have to add that the stools were not shipped "direct" to me (as mentioned below) - they were delivered via Brown & Beam delivery truck...

Their stuff is Soooo over priced and then to have to have a store credit...bad business policy! I will tell everyone this policy and never shop there again. Even the sales clerk kept apologizing and saying she understood our frustration.Never shopping...
