They have just about everything that you would want except affordable items. And I thought Acme was expensive. Just to put into context, I will give you a list of items I bought there yesterday (06/03/2025) half gallon of milk for $2.39. A spray bottle of Parkay for $3.89. a 12 pack of strawberry unfrosted pop tarts for $5.89. And a half gallon of iced tea for $3.50. Now at Food Lion (where I regularly shop. A gallon of milk is $2.49. A spray bottle of Parkay is $2.00. An 8 pack of strawberry unfrosted pop tarts is $2.50. and I usually buy two for $5.00 which equals 16 in total. And a gallon of sweet tea for $2.99. I mean honestly, I just can't figure out how they are still in business with prices like that??? There's only one reason I go there now a days. It is for a container of Fluff for my weekly treat of a Fluffernutter. Food Lion doesn't sell Fluff. And bacon cheddar Easy Cheese. That's it. It just sucks that if I want to make a Fluffernutter or have some nice bacon n cheddar on crackers, I have to drive 12 miles away to get them for arguably twice the price of them normally and then drive 12 miles back. Honestly I'm flabbergasted... Good thing is Redners sells fluff in a large container. So I don't need to make the long trip too often. Maybe once every three months or so. And a little tip for yah if you like a nice cup of hot cocoa in the fall or winter. A nice dollop of Fluff on topp of a mug of hot chocolate is the...
Read moreExperience we had means we will not return to this store . Stopped at the fish counter May 13 and she was serving a fellow African American lady and was very pleasant to her . We waited a while because the lady bought a few items of seafood and fish. After serving her there was no usual “ thank you for waiting” or a smile but her facial expression changed and her attitude switched to rude mode . People forget their faces say a lot especially when you are serving the public. We are of Asian origin and you could tell she had an attitude problem with us because we said absolutely nothing to trigger any attitude from her. We were met with the same bad attitude at the self service counter from the short lady assigned there . She was watching us like we are about to walk out without paying for items that we put on the bottom shelf of the cart. I was looking for the “ search menu “ on the screen and she was not a happy bunny to tell me instead she was shouting out codes. The staff attitude at this store was not the same as the helpful staff in Camden which is a few miles away from this store.I left with the impression that culture at this store is not very conducive to good customer...
Read moreOn August 11, 2023, I went to Redner's Bakery in Milford, Delaware, to buy a birthday cake for a friend. While looking at their freezer cakes, I noticed two gluten-free rectangular cakes to my left. One of the cakes was chocolate with white icing, and the other one was a Strawberry Shortcake. I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2021, and since then, I have been hoping to find a gluten-free Strawberry Shortcake, but haven't had any luck until Friday at Redner's Bakery. I bought it and couldn't wait to taste it. OMG, THE ABSOLUTE BEST GLUTEN-FREE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE EVER!!! EXCEPTIONAL TASTE, TEXTURE WAS SOFT AND MOIST, THE STRAWBERRY FILLING WAS DELICIOUS, AND SO WAS THE WHIPPED CREAM!!! KUDOS TO THE BAKERS AT REDNER'S IN MILFORD, AND MANY THANKS FOR MAKING SUCH A SCRUMPTIOUS GLUTEN-FREE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE!!! 😋😊😍 My next search is for a GLUTEN-FREE Coconut and/or Carrot cake, my other favorites. 😃
I highly recommend this store!!! It is very bright and clean. Employees are friendly. Produce is fresh and they have quality meats. They also have some hard to find items that other stores...
