Just far enough away to feel like a trip but close enough to still feel at home. Stinson Beach can be beautiful most times and other times.... weather makes it ugly. I for one have had way more positive experiences here. Weekends is the busiest I've seen this beach and the water is usually very refreshing anytime from 10 am to 4 pm. My all time favorite time though is after a hard days work, I try to get out here by 4:30 the earliest and just nearby is a fantastic lil plaza with ice cream and other food selections among the shops and then sit on the beach until about 7:30 pm.
