Usually I am really happy with my city. But with that being said they have the most out dated system for paying bills. I am a recently very single mother. My ex usually pays the utilities (sewer/garbage which is done through Millersville and then a separate water pmt through WHUD) You can only pay the sewer/trash by mailing a check=, in person and over the phone, they DO charge a convenience fee for using a credit card. With that being said when I came home to NO water last night and nothing to even rinse my sons sippy cup, I was quite surprised. I had thought this bill was paid by my ex, I never received a notice of disconnect or even a notice of my bill being late. When I called city hall not only was I going to need to pay the $53.00 for only sewer and trash, I also had to pay a reconnect fee of $45.00. When I asked Michelle about the second notice she stated "there was a mess up with the post office and we received a handful of the late notices back" A handful to me doesnt seem like a lot, would this not mean to Hmmm I dont know resend the notices out? or maybe at least wait to shut off a single mom with an infants water until you could make sure that the notice was actually sent to her house and not right back to the post office!?!? Its a nice quiet little town with 2 cafes and about 200 police officers I guess along with that also the most outdated bill paying system ever. Its 2017, start sending emails and let someone actually login online to pay a bill and let them know about a...
Read moreMy water recently was cut off for being 13 days past due. The city did not send out any notice. They claim they left me a voicemail. But the number called was a number I no longer have. I don't know where the humanity or consideration for people is. But be forewarned they will do anything they can to tackle on fees to line their pockets. I had to pay over $50 in fees for a $60 bill. I feel sorry for people out here who are actually struggling during these challenging times. Judging from the rude worker who I talked to on the phone they...

If you ride through the city all you see is poverty & a new city of millersville now tell me that...
