Had a great experience today at the Milton Artists Guild. I hadn't been to the store in a while and the amount of inventory was impressive, but a little bit overwhelming. I wanted to get in and out quickly. Jessica was at the front desk and asked me if there was anything special I was looking for. Actually yes - I was looking for a gift for a friend who recently lost a beloved pet. She asked me a few more questions. Then said, "Let me show you something that just came in. You keep looking, I will bring it to you." The item she showed me was PERFECT! She took off the price & wrapped it beautifully for me. I was in & out in 10 minutes. The MAG Art Center and Gallery is a jewel in an otherwise, nothing out of the ordinary, small town in northwestern Vermont. Set in the town's shopping plaza, behind the post office and between the hardware store and the Chinese Buffet, this 6,000 square foot store front, is chock full of a wonderful variety of art and fine crafts, created by 80 or so artisans from all over the state. I went in for a visit today with a friend and fellow artisan . We experienced a very rude volunteer.who stated ahe was the curator. My friend was inquiring about perhaps putting some of her products there. This woman began to belittle her work , without so much as seeing it! Needless to say we left. Not purchasing a thing.
