I do not like leaving bad reviews for anyone. Especially if they truly try to solve the issue. But the shop refuses to do anything. Their communication is nonexistent. I bought a very expensive pre-cut kit. When it came I was very excited. It was packaged beautifully the instructions were clear and concise and it was going to be a beautiful quilt. I didn’t remeasure everything because it was a pre-cut quilt so it should be right correct? Not so much. After I got intoSewing the kit., It turned out there were many pieces that had selvidges left on. Since the kit was pre-cut there was no way to adjust so that they would not show in the quilt. Since I had already started sewing I was stuck. I emailed them and had silence for quite a long time. When she finally answered she said they did not have any of the fabric left and the file had actually been deleted since the kit was three years old. And oh by the way the employee that cut the kit was no longer with them. What? You sold me a three year old kit that had no support for it? What does a former employee have to deal with dealing with a kit that was sold and bought by me and good faith. Finally several weeks later a manager contacted me If I was happy with the fabric they sent. I am still confused as I have never received a stitch of fabric from these people. The next issue were the stashing strips. There were 27 of them and they were cut 1/8 of an inch too short. When you are trying to match up setting blocks 1/8 of an inch over 27 strips is a lot. And there was no way to work around it. Again. Asked for a discount went and bought my own fabric 60 miles away because of course they had no fabric and no support for the kit. I asked for a discount since it was such an expensive kit and I still have received no response on that. I give up. All I can say is be sure you check your pre-cut kit if you order one. Make sure the measurements are correct and that everything is there.
UPDATE: the store contacted me and were very gracious and apologetic regarding my experience. Trisha went out of her way to not only refund my kit but also helped me get fabric for the backing to finish everything up. I am satisfied they have done everything they can to make it right. The only reason I am leaving it at four stars is because it took so long to get someone to respond but Trisha is amazing. Definitely will use...
Read moreEpic customer service failure. I signed up for a 12-month block of the month program that happens to have all the fabric from one particular line. After receiving the first month, I found that I didn’t care for the product (not Stitchin’ Heaven’s fault, just personal preference). I contacted customer service to see if I could cancel the remaining shipments. I was quoted a cancelation fee, which I agreed to, and was told the subscription was cancelled. Up to this point, great customer service. Then, a few weeks later, I receive an e-mail that month 2 had been shipped and charged to my credit card. I immediately contacted them to remind them that the subscription was cancelled (and included a copy of the cancellation confirmation). Received a reply the next day that acknowledged they made an error and told me to just refuse delivery and when the package got back to them, they would refund my credit card. Seriously, how was I supposed to do that. I haven’t seen mail delivered right to my residence in years. Every development seems to have the mailbox pedestals at the entrance and the postal carrier just leaves boxes in the package lockers. When I pointed this out, I was told to just write “refused” on it and leave it in my mailbox (right…a half inch slot…) or drop it in the “big blue mailbox” (also impossible as the box was too large for that). The customer service rep continued to refuse to refund my card until they received back the box (which THEY had shipped in error). She also refused to provide a return shipping label. So, I had two options. I could take time off work to go stand in line at the post office to “refuse” the package. This would also not provide any type of tracking to confirm when it was received. Or I could pay to ship it back to them and at least then I would have tracking for the package. They did finally process the refund after they package arrived back at their location, but they didn’t have the courtesy to send me any type of confirmation that they received it or provide a refund receipt. I only know it was refunded because I checked my credit card...
Read moreThis review is for the TRAVEL. Just completed a cruise to Alaska with the shop. I must say I was extremely disappointed in : 1) the lack of communication from the shop to the individuals that were taking the cruise. The ship itinerary was changed multiple times, but the shop never acknowledged this nor sent out any kind of information regarding updates or anything else, I had to call the shop in order to get any information. On a positive note they did offer a refund. 2. Lack of communication while on the cruise!!!! I was very disappointed in that there were no organized activities within the group, so it was very difficult to really get to know any of the other people on the cruise. I think one of the benefits of travel in a group is making connections. Unless they were sitting at your dinner table or sitting in close proximity to you in the Sewing area you never interacted with them. I rode the elevator with other participants but only knew they were with the group because they were wearing a name tag. Everyone was really nice, the instructors were great, but I feel that if you’re going on a cruise with a group, there should be some group activities offered… and DO NOT blame COVID… I was even more disappointed in that the staff from Stitchen Heaven would basically disappear and there was no maintenance of the machines, I wonder what it was that we were actually paying for? because come to find out the same cruise that I paid several thousand dollars for was actually available for $800 if you booked directly through Royal Caribbean.(same room type!) very disappointing. The cruise itself was great. Royal Caribbean does...
