Avenues for Youth — Local services in Minneapolis

Incredible place. Staff are truly intelligent, selfless and really care. They can always use volunteers and donations for their work and service to the unhoused, youth, lgbtqai community. Consider your employer working with Avenues for volunteer or donation opportunities. Volunteered with my company and will continue to donate and volunteer independently. Great service, brilliant staff and incredible opportunity to spread love. Always looking for host familes/homes, monetary or household donations, and keep in mind there's a shortage of diverse types of soap, lotion, hair care products for the kids. Proud this place is in MN, and ashamed I never knew about it until now. Will be donating and sharing as much as I can. This place is truly helping...

I'm unsure if this is the correct program, but I remember it being an lgbtq+ and host home program. could have got me out of a very toxic situation, but did not take me seriously or try to understand. was about to receive help one year, after maybe 3 years or so of being lead to think it might happen, maybe? was declined due to mental health. which was the issue that happened later, and wouldn't have if I had the help and support. if you want a host home, this is not the program, a lot of false hope...

I personally am writing this because I am looking for a way to thank you. Because I went from sleeping on a bench to a bed. Shout out to avenues for the knowledge and life experience they helped me with bus fare food bed meeting a real nhl player I mean anyway I really wanted to thank all the staff for bringing me in and love me you have helped me for years after I left and y'all...
