Southwest Farmers Market — Local services in Minneapolis

Loving the new Southwest Farmers’ Market! This new location replaces the old Fulton site, and the upgrade is fantastic. Mt. Olivet is a beautiful venue with a spacious parking lot, great visibility, and plenty of customer parking—such a big improvement!

There’s only been one market so far, and even on a cold, cloudy day, the turnout was incredible. I can’t wait to experience it on a warm, sunny summer day with an abundance of fresh, local produce. This market is off to a great start!

This is more pushing church than it is a farmers market. And the woman from the church who apparently is in charge of this sad pathetic little farmers market rudely told me dogs aren’t allowed at an outdoor small market. So much for inclusion when kids can run haywire, but my well behaved dogs on short leashes can’t walk through an outdoor farmers market and these “neighborhood roots” people have to be rude about it. Definitely nothing neighborly about this one and not worth...

The Southwest Farmers Market has relocated to the Mount Olivet parking lot for the 2025 season. My visit on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, was unfortunately a poor experience.
