We visited this beach last night for the first time, after decades of riding bike around Bde Maka Ska. Super disappointing to experience several issues. The parking lot is a draw for people to hang out with loud cars, music blaring, and smoking pot stinking up the fresh air. None of these people sat on the beach, just stood around their cars loitering. I don't mind people enjoying a beautiful area from their cars but the smoking, loud music and revving engines needs to go someplace else besides a public beach where people want to sit by the water and picnic or swim. Speaking of swimming, the water here in late May is already filled with algae pods and gigantic weeds in the entire "deep end" of the swim area. Even inside the swim boundaries it was impossible to get deep enough to swim without encountering weeds on every stroke. If you tried to have your face in the water they would have been in your mouth. Really disgusting. We...
