We've tried the daycare option for a couple weeks now and have consistently had good experiences. Before we got our golden retriever pup we stopped in unexpectedly just to ask some questions and were instantly offered a tour. Love that the dogs are in small groups with good supervision and that they get routine rest time in their own kennel between playing. This was very different from other facilities we toured where 20-30 dogs are all in one big play area for the day and was a key factor in our decision. I liked that they can take dogs with varying needs from pups to older dogs, social and non-social, and was really impressed that they don't allow leash greetings in the lobby. I had a few dogs that weren't cool with leashed greetings so I was impressed they called that out. All of this just told me the staff really understand dogs and dog behavior.
Now that we have our dog, the service is just very personal. Staff always greet us at drop off, and it's clear they're prepared and expecting us. On day one, our pup had an accident on her blanket and they even laundered it for us. Drop off and pick up is quick and efficient. Requesting a reservation is very easy, and I generally get a response on confirmation in about an 30-60 minutes of placing a request (guessing that varies on timing. Probably takes a bit longer if you're requesting during peak pick up or drop off times). Very convenient location too, right off 494 and Minnetonka Blvd. Best of all, our pup really likes going. Comes home happy and tired and we get report cards and photos by end of day.
Overall, really love this place. Kudos on doing...
Read moreThis business has deceptive advertisement regarding their boarding rates. On September 14, 2019, when I made my reservation to board my two small dogs, I chose the option to board them together in a medium kennel. The rates at that time clearly stipulated: If an owner wishes to board 2+ small dogs together, then the dogs will be housed in a medium/large kennel and be charged that rate. The rate for a small kennel is $36/day, and a medium kennel is $50/day. My dogs stayed there for 8 days, and were housed in one medium kennel. They were each charged $50/day for the use of one kennel. When I inquired about the exorbitant charge, it was clarified that they charge by the kennel, so I asked why I was made to pay for 2 kennels when my dogs only used one. So then they said the charge is per dog. Which one is it? Why are my 2 dogs in 1 kennel paying for 2 kennels? They are free to give that second kennel i'm paying for to another dog, and charge full price for that dog as well, effectively getting three kennel rates for 2 kennels. After I complained to them, they then changed the rates on their website to say the same about boarding two small dogs in one medium kennel, but the medium kennel rate has been changed to $50/day/dog. Obviously, with them having made this change, they knew...
Read moreI booked a boarding stay for my two dogs a few weeks ago. I never received a confirmation email, but when I checked online, it listed my visit in "upcoming visits" so I assumed everything was kosher. It wasn't until I went online yesterday to upload vaccine records when I happened to notice and click on the visit link. It then brought me to another page that shows I was wait listed. I called in to see what was going on as i never received a single email or notice about it. The person who answered seemed irritated I was even calling. She put me on hold mid sentence without warning. She then came back on and let me finish talking. She looked into my issue and stated that's how the wait list shows and she didn't "create the system, they just use it". This was incredibly frustrating. Obviously I understand it seems to be a system issue but she didn't even seem to care or seem aplogetic about it and how hard of a spot this put us in to find care for our dogs last minute before heading out of town for a week. They need much better communication and maybe some customer...
