I've definitely been to better fairs. The rides were fun, lines weren't long, and food was good, but the fun houses that I inspected were not in complete working condition, or at least not turned on, except the lights. Normally the platforms would be moving and therefore make them hard to walk on, and the tunnel at the end would be spinning, but none of it was. This was the case with multiple fun houses. The scary one also seemed to be lacking. The young, Latino boys that were working the Ring of Fire complained that they didn't get paid enough to clean the ride after someone had puked. Security was better than other fairs. Overall decent experience, all of the thrilling rides were working and very fun.

It's always a good time at the fair.

Visited the Greater Gulf State Fair on 11/5/23 and had a great time. It was arm band night, which, in my opinion is the best value. Surprisingly, the lines moved quickly, and the kiddo rode everything at least once, and was able to hit a few of the rides multiple times. The variety of food vendors was excellent, although eight dollars for a bottle of water is a bit ridiculous. We caught the Cowboys circus show and hypnosis show and both are very entertaining. Highly recommend.

I have been going to the fair in Mobile Alabama since I was four or five years old. I have always loved the food and rides along with the animals and new adventures it would bring. But in the last few years as I am now a 32-year-old adult with kids of my own we go every year; it has just gotten to be a run down money gimmick. Every year the price seems to go up for admission and wristbands by $5 to $10. It was $25 in the year 2018 and in the year 2019 the wristbands were $30 . They offer no new rides and no real activities that would really interest young kids the shows they put on are a joke and something that I could throw together in my backyard! If you were not between the ages of 11 and 19 I would not recommend that you go. Also if you do not have a tractor, a huge truck or a SUV do not park at the fairgrounds there were at least 75 people that I seen just walking to my car that were stuck in the mud and having to be towed or pulled out!!! Thank goodness I have a SUV because my six children and I would have been there stuck in the mud as well. They do not accommodate their large crowds The lines for the rides you waited 40 minutes to an hour. And let’s not get into the fast pass lane because if you would like to pay $45 for a wristband you can skip everybody that has waited in line for 40 to 50 minutes or however long it took to get on the ride. We were there for almost 8 hours and we only rode five rides. But we paid $264 to get in and we o lay had 2 adults The rest of the people in my group were under 10 years old!!!! they do not know how to accommodate a parking lot with tens of thousands of cars their structure was so unorganized you sat in a line for 40 minutes just to exit the fair I will not even mention getting in!!!

Not so great anymore. I can’t verbalize the excitement I had after purchasing our tickets for the first night of midnight madness. I didn’t get the early bird discount so full price for 2 Unlimited ride bands, two fast track upgrades, and also two regular admissions for the gate. We arrived around 9p and made it to the actual rides around 930ish. The ride and booth attendants we’re just not friendly and disregarded our fast track bands allowing anyone to go ahead of us. Even saying he wasn’t even sure how it worked. Ordered a $35 frozen daiquiri that wasn’t very satisfying, besides the cup which I love. And to top it off they started closing down rides at 1030. I was so mad because I didn’t get to ride very many thinking I had until 12am. I will be contacting Management for a resolution. Very...

Last night was the last time I spend money there took my wife on a date cost 24.00 to get in bought arm bands so we could ride that was 70.00 got to ride 2 rides and then it was running to not get trampled there was multiple rounds of gunfire and the police and fair grounds are trying to cover it up the only police officers we saw were at the door and at the gates then plenty out directing traffic none inside the fairgrounds till we saw them with a young girl in handcuffs the 3 officers returned into the fairgrounds I asked was it safe he said no comment at this time while getting out on the street there was a female sheriff puffing on a vape while holding a flashlight to stop traffic this makes you think...
