Pink Slip Boutique — Local services in Mokena

My daughter and I went to pink slip last year to pick out her prom dress, we put half the money down and then covid hit. Being that she did not have her dressed sized, nothing had been touched on the dress and the dress still hangs in the boutique, unless someone else bought it, WE NEVER RECIEVED ANY PRODUCT in exchange for my money. I was told that there are no refunds, which is strange being that I did not receive a dress, a headband, a shoe, NOTHING in exchange for my money. I did not try to return anything I just wanted either a refund or store credit, being that it was something beyond our control..(.prom, school) everything was cancelled. I have text messages telling me that when people put money down for a layaway they don't get their money back which is untrue. Based on the store policy there are no refunds once a product has been purchased. We didn't purchase anything instead they kept my money, so I don't understand the issue. I was also told that I can still purchase the dress and they(pink slip) was going to have a shindig on their dusty, gravel filled property, during covid(go figure). As if my daughter was supposed to be excited to dress up to hang outside in the dirt, what a total slap in the face! There was no compassion or concern for the customer and this place is a joke. I took my daughter prom dress shopping at Pink Slip today. I booked a VIP appointment so she could bring a friend with her and have a little more time since this was her first prom dress shopping experience. Our associate, Autumn, did a fantastic job listening to what my daughter wanted and helping her find the best dress. She hyped her up, made her feel beautiful, and never pushed us to make a decision. She did a great job checking on the stock of certain dresses without us even having to ask and answering all our questions. I was pleasantly surprised by how many dresses they had in the store that were in our price range (I was hoping to stay under 400 and they had a lot of prom dresses in the 250-350 range). My daughter has a more unique style and they had plenty of options for her to choose from. All the dresses were organized by color (super helpful) and were clearly marked with what other colors they come in. I highly recommend Pink Slip Boutique! The only drawback is that you aren't allowed to take pictures in any of the dresses except the one you buy. Being able to have pictures and videos of the experience would have made it even better because sometimes you want to know how a dress photographs or be able to send pictures to someone who can't be...

I initially took my daughter prom dress shopping at Pink Slip for her senior prom. Our associates were so nice and helpful. We thought she just didn’t find the right dress but as we were going to leave she noticed a dress and they allowed her to go back to try it on and it was perfect! They ordered it in the color she wanted and we were so excited. After a terrible alterations experience which ruined her dress, , my daughter went back to Pink Slip, without an appointment (a week before prom), and Lauren and team were so nice and helpful with her - we were able to reorder the same dress and have it overnight shipped. Even though Lauren was getting married and the shop was going be closed for several days, she took the time to work with us and give us notifications about the dress status and drove it to their sister store (Parker James) so we could pick it up.
