Creamery — Restaurant in Mokena

The ice cream at the Creamery is always top notch, and the specialty items are better here than their counterparts are at other places. The two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the location we visited, Mokena, has no public restroom, (or if there is at this location it isn't in an obvious location), and because only one person was working when we were in line: He took the orders, took the money, and filled the orders. He did a great job but it's ridiculous to put that much stress on a single employee. As we were leaving, 2 other employees arrived. Last week 3/14/25 my small chocolate cone dipped in chocolate was $4.68 which is ridiculous. Today 3/22/25 the cost for that same small ice cream cone was $5.30. That is a $.62 Increase! What makes it even worse is that none of these prices are on your sign so I feel that they should be posted so you know what you’re going to pay. When I said something to the kid who was at the cash register, he said I’m just the cash register person. I don’t make up any of these prices. The Creamery is great! A huge selection and friendly service make this ice cream spot a real treasure. The Creamery employs local young adults, helping out the community in which they serve delicious food and tasty ice cream delights. On our latest trip, I ordered the Peanut Fudge Parfait: silky vanilla soft serve topped with thick and luscious hot fudge and salted peanuts. We also got a large twist cone: vanilla and chocolate soft serve piled high atop a crispy cake cone. Don't sleep on the hot food here either. Bring your dog for a puppy cone.
