I thought respect and caring was dead in the automotive dealership world. Such a breath of fresh air to run into a 4th generation family dealership who goes above and beyond what the new generation of factory franchised dealerships are doing.

Monon is an hour and a half away from me, but they had the perfect low mileage car for my older daughter. (2019 Ford Edge Titanium) Found on Autotrader online and gave Gutwein Motor a call as there was not pictures, just a brief description.

After getting a brief description of what features it had, I told Brad that I wanted to come down and look at it, he said it hadn't been cleaned yet. PERFECTY, I said. I could actually see how the car had been taken care of in its five years of ownership.

Car had some defects, needed detailing. I told Brad that I would buy it at his asking price, as it was a fair price for the condition and low mileage.

He told me he would have it cleaned, detailed and would be having the front bumper cover removed, refinished and reinstalled, and the vehicle going through its full, factory service.

When I brought my daughter down to see the car and pick it up, it looked absolutely gorgeous, as it if had come off the showroom floor. New floor mats, both carpet and all season factory trays. We even noticed that the attention to vacuuming in the hatch area, that the vacuuming lines were straight like you would see the mowing lines on somebody's yard.

Car was fully serviced, brakes inspected. Wow.

I just felt so at home with Brad Gutwein and his sales staff.

Oh, and a week later, a gift showed up in my mail. Gutwein Family popcorn, coffee and some spices, all as a thank you for doing business with them.

I'd been looking for a truck for about two months, mostly through app searches. I found a truck at this place that caught my eye, so I went for a test drive. From first impressions all the way to signing the papers, buying my truck at Gutwein's was a great experience! I met Brad, the owner. Very laid back, friendly guy. There was no pressure whatsoever to make a purchase, but at the same time he was ready to do whatever he could to answers questions and help me feel good about my decision. The truck I ended up buying was used, so there's always the concern that there are hidden issues that won't be noticed with one short test drive. Much to my surprise, Brad let me test drive the truck overnight so I could get a better feel for the truck and not have to make a rush decision. This gave me a lot of peace of mind, not only about the truck, but about Brad and how he does business. I decided to make the purchase. Closing was simple and easy. They also don't charge a doc fee, whereas many place will charge you a couple hundred for that. They have a service center too, and if I lived closer, this would definitely be where I'd take my vehicles for service. I would highly recommend anyone shop for a vehicle at Gutwein's. They approach car sales with a good, honest, old fashion way of doing things and you can really tell...

We were heading up north on a Saturday afternoon when I ended up with a nail in my tire. It definitely wasn't going to make it to our destination. After a quick Google search, we saw this Ford dealer in Monon was open a few more hours drove over. The owner Brad said he'd look at it. Mind you, he was the only person there. Service department was closed. We drove it in the garage and he got to it, removing the tire, finding the nail, plugging, airing, and sending us on our way FREE of charge. We are so grateful to him for taking care of us. Here's clearly an owner who knows his business and didn't have any issue getting his hands dirty....
