As for Monon Meat Packing butchering your product, this place is horrible the cuts of meat were uneven and sloppy. They charge extra for vacuum sealing and I have packages that have burst open because the sealer was set at a high heat and burned the seal to where the packages just burst open not a strong seal. I also ordered certain parts like, the liver, the tongue, and the heart and they were missing. I called and they said that they would deliver these to me by Friday and they never showed up. I called and they assured me that they would make it right, and they didn't. I called again, and again they said that they would make it right and again they just blew me off. Very poor business practices. I would recommend staying away from this place if you want to process any meat, BAD SERVICE. When they read this review and decide to make it right I will be more than happy to change this review.
I must say that Monon came through, there was a misunderstanding and they resolved ALL ISSUES as soon as they could. They changed my mind on service they have good service. So I have changed the rating from a 1 star...

When I called the response was “well, nothing can be done about it now.” Also, the meat was cut terribly. As another reviewer stated— I could have done better myself. Of the cuts we’ve used so far— I would buy none in the store. They are cut that badly. The only thing that was satisfactory was the ground beef. Some cuts were even ruined due to the low quality of butchering. Ribeye Steaks were cut uneven with one side being thick the other, PAPER thin!! It made cooking evenly impossible. A total waste of our money. Very disappointing when you pay good money for local meat that you cannot even eat. Chunks of stew meat included cubes that were 1/2- 3/4 fat. Excessive amounts of fat left on roasts and again uneven odd cuts. Everything I pull something out of the freeEr to defrost and unwrap, the poor butchering shows through. Very willing to try to make new products - different cuts/smoke/cures etc. Easiest and friendliest processer to work with that we have found based on our experience with 7 processors in two different areas of the country. Excellent service and can trust them completely. Processing and butchering can be a brutally hard job and they deserve a huge amount of credit for doing it so well. As always in any business with lots of employees, animals, and different moving parts, things can go wrong, or not turn out perfectly, but clear communication from the customer ahead of time is key, and for us they have always done their best to fix anything that has...
