Foodland — Local services in Monongahela

Almost consistently poor. Your manager, Kenny Duda, does nothing except stand around with his long, greasy hair. Some checkers have poor attitudes.

Most recent experience: July 17, 2014 you advertised "hens and chicks" potted plants. Of course, there were none in, and in speaking to the lady filling produce, there were none in the back of the store. She said, "Apparently, he forgot to order them".

You owners of this store ought to be ashamed of yourselves. This is the only game in town for many, many elderly people. You have failed all of us. I only shop at your store when I need something small, or safe to eat like frozen foods. I shop at Giant Eagle; but, I used to be a loyal Foodland customer. Obviously, I am now a loyal Giant...

I would only recommend stopping here if you have no other place to go. The food selection is lack luster and most of it is near expiration.

The customer service is also awful. Most of the employees are rude and unwilling to help. I've had an employee roll their eyes at me when I asked them a question. I've noticed the only exception is if they know you.

Thus far, I've only had one particular male employee who is nice to me and other customers. He goes out of his way to help others and myself.

I also find it odd that staff will stare at you as soon as you walk in and it's almost as if they find you a nuisance...

This place is filthy nasty. It's too bad for the residents of Monongahela as its the only close grocery store. A competitor is down the road and probably a better bet. This place is over priced, the selection is poor and it's so nasty I didn't buy food here. Look at the pictures. You shouldn't have holes in the wall and ceiling, peeling floor tiles and towels/water absorbers to catch run off from the leaking freezers. Great way to provide water for roaches and other bugs. The irony is their sign says they provide a clean...
