Avoid the tao tao scooters they sell or having them work on them. I know they are cheap and unreliable regardless of where you purchase them, but their service is questionable and they have poor communication skills. I took my scooter up to have a bolt stud on the exhaust head drilled out and replaced, but ended up getting a whole new cylinder head and some mysterious snipped wires that ended up blowing fuses on them; an issue that I never had prior to taking it there. Long story short, I walked out with a service bill 2x of what I was told it would be and some taped up electrical wires. The original exhaust issue was fixed though. However, had I known or was communicated with along the way that it was going to be a job that was going to rack up a labor charge worth the amount of the scooter itself, I would have researched alternatives or just sold it. The theme I seem to notice here is that anything outside of RC racing is risky business.

Response to owner.... To say that I was informed of the new quote after inspection is simply not true. That is why I wrote the review. I can assure you that I would not have had you fix it if I knew I was going to be charged $450. I can say no more than a big Thank You to Ryan the owner for being a Great Manager of his shop and being a Great Friend. Ryan goes above and beyond for his Customers.
