After doing our internet homework my partner and I found a vehicle to try at Cody Chevrolet. While that wasn't quite the one we wanted, the salesman, Duane listened to us and had just the truck we wanted for our business and pleasure needs. He did a great job and we are grateful. After that our experience all went downhill. The sales manager assumed he knew our financing wishes. We thought it would be an easy fix to call him and correct it however, after three phone calls in two days, that all went to voicemail and no call back, we were left frustrated. Given the corona virus we wanted to be in the office as short a time as possible. Not so. We were picking up the truck in the afternoon and the salesman called at which time we corrected all the information. Upon arriving that afternoon nothing had been corrected and all the paperwork had to be printed over. I (a female) had done all the financial research with our bank and when I corrected Mike the sales manager, he looked at my partner ( a male) for verification that I was correct. Both my partner and I were purchasing the truck but throughout the entire process I was ignored and constantly reminded that my partner was the Principal Buyer. The way I was treated was demeaning and insulting. I have purchased many vehicles and homes on my own and never been treated this poorly. When we finally got outside my partner apologized for how I was treated. So obviously, I was imagining the poor treatment. I emailed both the sales manager and the owner Mr. Cody. The owner did reply right away only to give the number of years his manager had worked for him and to say that he was stressed with so much work. Those are excuses Mr. Cody. In the future the correct reply would have been , we messed up, we will try better. Mike did call and apologized and offered to talk about it. When I called back I got voicemail again and decided I'd already wasted enough time. WE...
Read moreIdk if I just don't understand dealerships enough, but I'm 24 now, since 16 I've only owned chevys. Any time I've gone to this dealership for parts or service, it just seems like I'm pissing everyone off. Ive gone into parts a few times and the guys seem like I'm inconveniencing them. All I do is say "hey hows it going, I was wondering if you had a part in stock, heres the number" and they look at me like I'm telling them their grandma died. And with service, I even told the guy today that I was fully aware I would have to pay in full for any diagnostic that isn't covered by warranty, and that I was aware that they charge if they don't find anything (aka a diagnostic that nothing was wrong). And that I was prepared to do so. The dude looked at me the same way I look at customers at my job when they are yelling at me or calling me swears, so I assume I pissed him off or was being inconsiderate, because he looked at me like he wanted to throttle me (maybe I have a punchable face, I have been told that) I told him I genuinely don't know how bringing my car into service works (meaning like etiquette), because I try to do everything myself, and that I wasn't trying to be a jerk, but he just kept staring at me intensely. I ended up cancelling the appointment. I'm sure the techs do great work, but I have no idea. I was kind of excited to try the dealership route for service since I haven't done so since I was 16, but it seems like they might just be too busy, or they get yelled at by idiots too often, those are the only reasons I can assume someone wouldn't want work. Hope they start getting paid more or something because it kind of seems like everyone I've spoken to there hates their job.
If someone wants to respond to this letting me know what I am doing wrong and why I piss you off, please do so. Don't beat around the...
Read moreDuane Cosgrove (Sales) and Paul Kapusta (Finance) made our EV vehicle sales/leasing experience smooth and effortless. Duane was very helpful with assisting in rebate applications and coordinating with the power (GMP) and insurance company, while Paul pulled together all the financing and vehicle registration paperwork. Duane is very knowledgeable about the EV we leased, and helped us set up our vehicle. We were very pleased with our experience.
Update 10-5-2025 =================== I unexpectedly needed to bring in my car in for service on a holiday, my salesman Duane was there and we discussed the concern I had with my vehicle. We looked at the vehicle, and he took in all the information I provided and promised to work with Service on the next business day.
Duane worked with Dennis and Eric in the service department, who then reached out to the Cody body shop for additional diagnosis. The Cody body shop verified the issue and with the assistance of Duane (test drives), determined the fix. The Cody Service Department ordered new parts, and once they arrived they quickly installed and prepped the vehicle for my use. While the car was in the shop being fixed, the Cody Service team had a loaner vehicle for me to use, which was very appreciated.
I'm completely satisfied with the response of the entire Cody team, and whole-heartedly would recommend them for car purchase, service, body-shop - they...
