My first time at this range and it was an overall great experience. They have excellent Covid-19 measures to ensure everybody’s safety. All staff and shooters were wearing masks, staff sprayed down each station with a sanitizing solution between use, there was one empty station between shooters to maintain physical distancing, staple guns to mount targets were sanitized by staff before issuance, and the range masters ensured separate households/social bubbles kept to their own lane and wore masks. Along with the health measures taken above, range masters kept firearm safety an absolute priority keeping it fun and safe for everybody. They willingly helped new shooters, offered tips/advice to shooters learning to operate new guns, and were extremely quick to help when there were firearm jams. Don’t hesitate to ask them a question, especially when it comes to firearm safety. Take a deep breath and just have a good time!
The staff and Santa Clara County have done a phenomenal job at this range.

You are allocated 2 hours and you must pick one range and distance because covid. I look forward to when covid is over and I can fully enjoy this place.
The backdrop is absolutely beautiful, I was there with my wife on a sunny day and I just felt so at peace... as we unloaded our many guns into the target mounds. Ultimate stress relief.

Read moreA county park and a target range in-one. Park rangers are vigilant, friendly and they know their stuff. Safety is paramount, as it must. Plenty of pistol bench spaces, almost enough :-) rifle benches (50yd.D/100yd.) and a few long range spaces (200yd.). Put your name in with the ranger office when you first check-in to be called when bench spots open, which happens frequently. Staplers for putting up targets, gun-rugs, sandbags, support blocks and a few spotting scopes are available and free to use while you're there. My favorite spot to go to punch...
