The Morrow Arts Center is incredible. I have lived in Morrow since 2016, and this place has been the best thing that has happened in this village since I have lived here. There are classes for kids, an awesome bakery, artist studios, an awesome bakery, an herbal boutique, and more. I come here weekly for a class for my son and we frequent Sweet Joy Bakery. There is now a vintage video game room my daughter can spend some time in while my son is in his class. Last year, I actually rented the entire gymnasium for my daughter's birthday party. The rental prices are UNBEATABLE for this area. Various studios here also host special events, and every event is always TOP NOTCH!
My 2 recommendations for anyone who has never been here 1) If you visit their website and see something you are interested in, go to the website or Facebook page for whatever particular thing you are interested in. Every studio operates under their own unique hours. 2) If you have an issue with steps...it is a very old building, so naturally things aren't as handicap-accessible; however, there are multiple entrances that you can enter. Certain entrances make it easier to reach your destination without climbing numerous sets of steps. I'd suggest reaching out to whatever studio you want to visit and ask what entrance you should utilize. Everyone I have ever talked to who works here is incredibly helpful and I am sure would love to make it...
Read moreMy mother enjoys the Morrow Arts Center ("MAC") for the eclectic array of shops: food/drink/coffee shops; clothing shops; shops focused on herbal / holistic / natural products; and the shops that provide "farm to table" products. My wife likes the coffee shops and bakeries. Our kids (4.5yo boy and 2.5yo girl) love to go there because there is so much to see... it's kinda like going to the mall but without the in-your-face commercialism and stress. It has a kinda wholesome, hometown vibe.
Both of our kids have been enrolled in the 'Yoga for Kids' for several months. The kids have a blast every single session. Regarding the Yoga, that place is very clean and the owner is a professional (I think she's a school teacher or retired school teacher).
From personal experience, I'd say it's a cool, safe and clean place to visit... Very family friendly. I'm not into the coffee and Yoga scene myself, at all (not even a little, lol); but, the wife and kids love it, and I don't hate it, haha - that's what's important.
I will say that the best fresh broccoli that I've ever had came from the shop that's there.
For Halloween, they hosted a trunk or treat event that was free. We took the kids to that and it was great - props to whoever was on the roof dressed as Michael Myers and creepily dancing. It was the right mix of creepiness and oddly good moves that made it...
