Took my ferris zero turn in for an oil leak. After 4 weeks I called them. I was told it had numerous leaks and it would be expensive to fix and they would have to order parts. Took tractor home. Couldn't wait any longer. Took it apart myself and found upper crankshaft seal leaking under flywheel and gov. seal. Cost about $6.00 for 2 seals. Ordered parts from jacks small engine since midwest carries no parts. Had parts in 3 days. Had it repaired in 3 hrs, and 3 hrs to take apart, so a total of approximately 6 hrs. In my opinion, they just didn't want to fool with it. Lesson learned, do it yourself or take to someone who wants/needs the work. Also I got charged $48.00 to tell me I had an oil leak. Kept my mower for longer than promised. Had to call in multiple times just to get them to work on it. They spent a day determining that it was exactly what I told them it was in the first place. More calls to agree on the service but I had asked them to fix the carburator in the first place. Then they tell me they still need to order parts. Then they call back and tell me they can't get parts. It was just a carburator. Very simple. I can order the parts. Why can't they?
