I reached out to this salon over text to ask if they could work with 4C hair, and I was told they don’t have anyone who can do it. It’s incredibly frustrating and honestly disappointing that in 2025, there are still so many salons that don’t know how to work with Black or mixed-texture hair.

If you advertise as a full-service salon, that should include all hair types not just straight or loosely textured hair. 4C hair isn’t rare, and it shouldn’t be treated like a specialty case.
