Went in today to exchange some boots for a bigger size , I had my gift receipt and told the cashier I needed an exchange . The cashier was a young girl late teens to early 20s with blonde hair . she immediately raised her voice at me very passive aggressively asking which box I needed to exchange I kept telling her which one and even opened the box where I had the receipt in and the young girl raising her voice at me clearly very irritated kept asking which one and told me that if any money needed to be returned it would be towards the main card of the buyer , I was confused as I didn’t care about getting money out of this I just wanted the right shoe size exchanged. It felt quite racist as I am Hispanic and got treated so lowly and almost insinuating I was doing something shady . Not sure what was wrong with her and how she wasn’t understanding . I’ve never had an issue there but i felt awful as i wanted a simple exchange and was treated terribly for no reason . 18 years of shopping this store, usually once every two weeks for feed and farm supplies, with great customer service and helpful staff. That is up until the last few months. I have to agree with another customer at the store today when he stated that their customer service "had a lot to be desired"...It seems North 40's priorities do not follow that of Big R or Ranch & Home's customer service. It is sad to see the continued low expectations of business owners for their staff. And the huge staff turnover. Most all the great staff of the pass is gone at this store, as well as items pulled that were go to before North 40 took over. I would like to give the managers the benefit of the doubt, but the continued frustrating shopping experience had to be shared for a store that was once much loved in our community. Time to shop...

Great place to get heavy duty cleaners that actually work- ZEP. Sand paper and chemicals used for stripping wood finish and the sponges that can be used instead of steel wool. Super big selection of shovels rakes etc anything you could imagine and in every type of material and in a variety of price ranges , even have small and medium sizes that little kids can actually use. Only annoying thing is the boots, no boot box or replacement laces which sucks when you pay 250 or more for boots and for the same price directly from manufacturer you get a heavy duty box(I like to use those for my sons legos or his toy cars and he paints them instead of other things) and an extra...
