Celebrity Beauty Boutique — Local services in Mount Laurel Township

New to the area and was excited to try celebrity boutique Mt Laurel after seeing good reviews. Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this place after waiting a half hour to be acknowledged, poor customer service, and quality of eyelash extensions.

My appointment was scheduled this past Friday scheduled for 7pm and waited a half hour for my apt which I had to say something to to be acknowledged for. I also showed up 10 minutes early to be courteous so waited a total of 40 minutes however understand that the technician might not be ready before the scheduled time. As a new client I thought they’d be more sympathetic however there was no discount or apology at minimum. I typically only leave good reviews however after clearly expressing my concerns/dissatisfaction to the tech and them not being acknowledged I feel that others should know about my experience. Also, after expressing my concerns the lash tech had the audacity to complain about the client before me (poor tip, waste of time, etc). Again this was my first time at the salon so not sure if it’s typical to be this unprofessional however wouldn’t recommend to a friend due to the customer service and the fact that many eyelashes have fell out in the first few days after the service.

There was no option for hard wax as the reply stated. Anita told me they only use soft wax for everything. She was dipping the other side of the stick into the wax, when she should have used a new stick. I had a bad reaction to the wax on my one underarm due to the wax and her not waxing properly.

STAY AWAY!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would. If I didn't prepay I would have walked out. They use soft wax and was very unsanitary. I had Anita for eyebrow, lip, Brazilian, underarm, and leg wax. She refused to wax my brows and insisted she needed to thread. I told her I didn't like it and she kept continuing. Overall missed so much hair and I had to tell her to keep going back and she was getting frustrated. Anita kept giving me dirty looks before she started waxing. She was using the same stick just opposite sides. She attempted to tell me I didn't pay for all my services and when I showed my receipt she told me she didn't believe me. Beautiful place and was greeted when I first entered, which is very welcoming. Initially, I wasn’t sure if I wanted the classics or hybrid. Though I scheduled the hybrid just in case the classic wasn’t going to be enough length for me, I explained what I’m looking for to Miriam and we both agreed on the classics but with longer length. Thinking I was getting what agreed on, Miriam said after I got up she did the hybrid. I truly didn’t appreciate that she didn’t suggest the change BEFORE she made the change!!! But after showing my friend and looking closely in the mirror, some hairs weren’t even and in my left corner it had less corner extensions. my friend who always opt for hybrid at her place said I think what she did wasn’t worth the price and she should have told you prior to the change.
