Very, very, I cannot say enough how very poorly coordinated and executed this Spring Spectacular event was. Thankfully the kids have stayed in good spirits and we're just going to plan something better on our own. They claimed they did not expect so many people, yet things could've still been adjusted. The need for pre-regustration was never made clear, nor listed on the flyer. The lines were long and confusing since only one line was for regustering. Then found on you can online, yet the website doesnt even list this event! Ends up registering was pointless and 100% unnecessary. It was merely to have a waiver signed stating you will "watch your kids". Yeah right. Just have a clipboard with that and then have every adult sign if you feel you need that. They didnt even have people at the gates or walking the lines making things clear for people. Some people waited 1.5 hrs to get to the gate, even though they did pre-register. There were no clear signs listing sections and age group areas, just one woman with a megaphone amongst 10,000+ people. Not to mention the lack of coordination for the actual egg hunts. 6-8 ages were 1st and soooo many kids got nothing, parents all over the field, and many kids trmapled for each hunt. The main coordinator, Heather, with the megaphone just continued the miscommunition and misleading info spreading. I confronted her directly and asked her to clearly indicate who was about to hunt next because there was an immense amount of miscommuncation being thrown around by parents. She said 6-8 is going AGAIN since so many didnt get anything and then she said it in the egaphone and said 9-12 is NOT going yet. Then as I help spread the CORRECT information for people who cant hear her further away, she quickly changes her mind and says 9-12 is getting eggs now. It was a very agonizing scene to watch and be apart of. She then stated it is 9-12 now, but if you are 6-8 and didnt get anything, it is what it is. Terrible experience all around, could go on forever with complaints, but i will simply NEVER EVER come here again...

I also enjoy the amount of space there is throughout the grounds. Besides the parking situation, this fairground has easier walk ways and navigation for those who have mobility impairments once in the fair. Itโs affordable and overall well kept. My sister and I attended on a busy Saturday night and had no complaints besides the pricing of the food at the chains (buts thatโs everywhere right now). We decided to stay local to eat inside the ground which is 100% recommended! The local food is amazing! Sad I didnโt get photos but we had an amazing pulled pork with Mac and cheese from a local food truck๐the portion for one was enough for two people. I was sad to see that they took away the home made pierogies this year ): not sure if itโs due to just this years food pricing but a lot of stuff was no longer offered from the...
ย ย ย Read moreThis fair was such a great place to purchase items and have bagpipes playing. Seriously, there was a Scottish band playing for hours while I was there.
One of the minor disappointments was the cost of drinks and food. My thought is this; if you have vendors renting a space for several days while paying a good amount for it, don't require your guest to pay $2.50 for a 16oz water or cola. You could still get a profit by charging $1.50 instead. Hey, I get it. You need to make top dollar.
Note: Bring your own drinks or more money for food and drinks. $9 for a Gyro. $5 for a Lemon Aid fresh with lots of ice. Just some ideas of the cost involved. The is a stand that seemed to be the cheapest ($3 for a Hamburger ๐ and $3 for fries) and the taste was available too ๐.
Bring some sunscreen and prepare to walk. There is an air conditioning room available with table and chairs. Bathrooms were at one end...
