Entrance is through a manned gate where one needs to purchase entrance tickets. Once inside the premises, there are ample places to park your car. You take a few steps and reach the waterfront and are immediately struck with awe at the magnificent views of Mount Shasta in the background of the lake. Picnic places with tables and benches are located near the beach and one can decide whether to relax in the shade or under the Sun. The lake allows for swimming and boating , so do carry your swimwear if you wish to go into the waters.
