Recently a member of my family had to go here for physical therapy and we were told it was a four star facility. My family member was able to eat and drink on their own . They were also able to walk on their own until they fell and broke a bone which was why they needed physical therapy. While at this facility they were moved from chair to bed etc. by using a lift. I thought it would have been beneficial to have encouraged this person to move as much as possible with help on their own. Each time I saw my family member they appeared to be failing instead of improving physically and emotionally. It got to the place they had to depend on someone to feed them and give them something to drink. When we would go to visit we would help our family eat and drink. They were able to hold the glass themselves and would drink it as fast as they could because they were so thirsty. At one time I asked for more for them and was told the facility was understaffed and when someone had time they would refill the drink. Finally I started to get it myself and someone got it. I realize that unfortunately places like this are understaffed and underpaid. It is hard work and not what a lot of people want to do. As far as the physical therapy it didn't help at all. We were told our family member wouldn't try to do what they were told to do. I believe there were some members of the staff that tried to do what they could do and actually cared for the people that are at this facility. Our family member became fearful and withdrawn. Our family made the decision to bring our loved one home. They are now getting PT And OT weekly. In just a few weeks they have started feeding themselves and asking for something to eat if hungry between meals. They are beginning to put their feet on the floor and are trying to help their caregivers in moving them from one place to another. They are slowly getting over their fear that they had as they know they are back to a safe place. In the short time they have been home their improvement is amazing! I would ask everyone that works in any facility like this how they would feel and how they would want to be treated if they were the person that had to depend on someone else. We take for granted being able to walk to get ourselves a drink or something to eat when we want it. We don't have to think about taking care of our daily needs. Our family member was at one time very capable of doing for themselves. No one knows what their lives might become in a short time. I just hope there are enough caring people that even though they are over worked and underpaid will take care of the basic needs of someone else. Thank you to those of you that do your best to make a positive difference. Because this is not a good review I rather doubt if very many will be allowed see it. I hope that someone that does take time to read it can and will make a...

Read more5 STAR care. Awesome, caring workers! Corporate needs to care more about room appeal, and maintenance! Corporate needs to pay the workers more, and recruit better for this under-staffed facility! Raise the paychecks! I can't say enough about the loving care-team, but I will be persuading my next loved one to go somewhere else, due to the rundown nature of the facility. Corporate, PLEASE make this facility into a place that reflects the loving care this staff...
