Valley Liquor — Local services in Mount Vernon

Great people who are very helpful and nice. They really seem to be very knowledgeable about the different products which is very helpful when choosing and trying to find or figure out what you are looking for and want. The store is very nice, clean and organized every time I have been there. Any time I am looking to purchase alcoholic beverages, this is definitely where I go not only for the reasons stated above, but they have a great selection with prices that you can't beat. I absolutely love On The Rocks and would definitely recommend it...

Never again. Didn't know about all the extra charges until I got home and looked at the receipt. Almost 10.00 in taxes and fees on on 64.00 sale. 6 percent sales tax, 5 percent city tax and a 3.25 percent card processing fee. Was never told about these charges before I checked out. If I was i would never purchased anything. They may have a sign but who reads them unless they are on the machine as you check out. Also the staff was very rude. I used to go to Valley Liquor all the time when I lived in Mt. Vernon, KY because their prices where very good and their staff are always friendly. Since I moved to Science Hill, KY I don't go unless I'm that way and did noticed this past weekend that their prices on some liquor have went up from the previous years but their friendly staff hasn't chamged. Anytime I'm down Mt. Vernon this will always be my liquor store because they do have a very good selection of liquor, wine and spirits...
