Shop n Save — Local services in Mountain Lake Park

On 5/23 I went to shop n save after work I was tired and didn’t fully pay attention. When I got home I discovered the chocolate lactaid I bought was almost two weeks past the expiration date luckily I noticed it before giving it to my toddler. Less than an hour later my fiancé grabs a package of cheese I just bought and show me a huge mold spot on it. On 5/24 I went in and got a refund for the lactaid and cheese the employee looked horrified when she saw the date and mold she was extremely nice throughout the whole interaction. I woke up today 5/25 to find all of the $50 worth of produce I bought mushy and inedible. When I picked out the fruit and vegetables they looked nothing was bad. I know I should have paid more attention in the store but for two entire weeks no one noticed that milk? I know fruit and vegetables go bad a lot quicker than other foods but 2 days that’s ridiculous! The fruit and vegetables I buy from walmart last up to a week before going bad. The owners need to put more money into the absolutely outdated store the only newer thing in the store is the card readers. The managers need to pay more attention to the expiration date on the food...

Some of the staff are just really rude. There is absolutely no call for that. The prices are insanely high. Some items are so much higher than the walmart across town it is worth the savings to shop there instead.The new design is foolish. Whomever chose it doesn't have a clue what Garrett county winters are like. They've decided to permanantly store all the carts outside. I am not battling snow and ice to drag a cart into the store every time. The carts will be wet, covered in ice and drip water all over the store and your stuff as you shop. That is dumb. I guess all things considered I'm not shopping...

They sell expired and molded product. It seems like they do not rotate stock, check the expiration of anything you buy! I bought this out of the cold section near the deli. It was out in the front and no one noticed or cared enough to remove a product that expired in OCTOBER. That’s unacceptable. Someone can get sick. Also, when you first walk in you are greeted with the most disgusting carpet. Why is there carpet in the entrance to a grocery store? It’s ancient, dirty, muddy, and moldy. It can’t possibly be kept clean even if you try. It needs to be removed. Makes the whole...
