I recently spent two nights in one of the glamping tents at Ozark RV Park and Cabins in Mountain View, Arkansas, and it was truly a delightful experience. The glamping tent itself is a spacious, sturdy canvas tent on a raised platform, complete with a comfortable bed (on a frame), crisp linens, a Keurig coffee maker, and even air conditioning and a fan—everything you need to be comfortable while still feeling close to nature.
During my stay, it rained softly at night, and falling asleep to the sound of rain on the tent was an experience I won’t soon forget. The air was crisp, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was so peaceful to wake up to the sounds of birds in the morning. It took me a while to get out of bed because it was so cozy, but once I peeked outside, it was worth it.
The park’s bathhouse was another highlight. If you’ve ever gone to summer camp, it has that nostalgic feel—but much, much cleaner. The showers and restrooms were spotless every time I visited, and I was impressed by how well-kept the facilities were throughout my stay.
Although there’s a large fire pit area available for guests, the on-and-off rain meant it wasn’t in use during my visit, but it looked like a great spot for a campfire gathering when weather permits. The park also offers a range of lodging options, including cabins and plenty of RV sites. I had the chance to chat with a few fellow guests, and everyone I met was genuinely happy with their experience, echoing the positive vibe of the place.
Check-in was seamless, even though I arrived around 6 pm. The camp host had everything ready for me and made the process quick and easy. Throughout my stay, everyone I interacted with was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall sense of relaxation and ease that the park offers.
In short, I highly recommend Ozark RV Park and Cabins—whether you’re looking to glamp, stay in a cabin, or park your RV. It’s a perfect base for exploring Mountain View, enjoying the sounds of nature, and unwinding in a clean, friendly environment. I will...
Read moreI traveled to the beautiful state of Arkansas to visit Mountain View, I rented a cabin for 3 nights only stayed 2 so I lost money from Ozark RV Park, I will say the cabin itself was nice and the bed was comfortable too But that's if you could have a good night's sleep, I was in cabin A at the end of the park that butts up to a house with three dogs, two were large dogs and one smaller dog, after a day of touring I wanted to come and relax and sit at the picnic table but the dogs would not allow that they barked at every move I made I could not even take a stroll because if I stepped on a leaf they would run at the fence bark and growl at me viciously and I do believe if they could have reached me they would have attacked me and also they kept me up barking in the middle of the night 2:00, 3:00 I guess they heard animals walking in the park and they would bark , all I'm saying until this company gets that neighbor and their dogs under control I do not recommend this park at all if you want a good night's sleep and not to be disturbed by barking dogs , contacted the manager Debbie she was pretty flippant with me saying most are customers are not there in the daytime so it wouldn't be a problem for them, that the dogs only bark in the daytime and that's not true, I don't care what time of the day or night it is if you pay for something you shouldn't be disturbed by barking dogs , I give it a thumbs down 👎 this is an update to my previous post, I went back and read the reviews and 11 months ago there was a John Underwood that rented and he complained about the dogs, barking a lot at them running to the fence as they did me and would wake them up in the middle of the night as they did me and the matter at this time told them they would look into the issue with the neighbor and the property to make future stays more peaceful well this has already been brought to this Park's attention and...
Read moreI’ll give the pros & cons Pros First Location- the location to the square with great free music concerts in the evenings, great little shops on the square, and great restaurants. Walmart and other stores are close. The folk center is walking distance and Blanchard Springs Cavers are a short drive away as well ad close to fishing. Very clean park and bath house The wifi is one of the best of any campground we’ve been in and the cable tv worked great as well. Owners are super sweet and accommodating.
CONS. The big con is the width of the sites. You hardly have any front lawn and your neighbor can hear everything you say. The biggest issue was the neighbors sewer connection in practically at my front door. Very gross. We only had a front yard neighbor for one night and thankfully they didn’t hook up to sewer. The thought of eating at that small picnic table next to the neighbors sewer is not appealing whatsoever.
The picnic tables are very very small. You can get 4 small to med size people on it but you won’t have much elbow room. Our site had no fire ring. Some sites had them some didn’t The pull through sites are supposed to be 65 ft. But I would say they are not that long. We are about 50ft that includes our small trailer we tow and we used every single inch of that space. Definitely didn’t have 15 ft to spare. We didn’t even have a foot to spare so be aware of that.
We’ll definitely come back to vacation in Mt. View but not sure we’ll stay here unless it’s the only option.
The first photo is of our rug and it shows where the neighbors sewer connection is. If you zoom in on the second photo you can get a better idea of the location of that sewer. Its at the end of the railroad...
