Mulberry Health — Local services in Mulberry

I am so grateful that our family found Mulberry Health for our mother's care following a major falling incident that resulted in several broken bones and her needing a full shoulder replacement. She has received the best care at Mulberry of any health care facility she has ever visited.

Mulberry's physical therapy department is truly outstanding, having not only helped my mother through rehabilitation with her shoulder replacement, but also working on strengthening her legs, teaching her the proper way to use walking aids and additionally diagnosing that she has an severe inner ear problem which causes vertigo, hence the reason for many of her falls. So they are also working with her on improving that balance issue. The progress she has made in just a few weeks has been miraculous, which continues to motivate my mom to work hard as our entire family cheers her on from the sidelines.

My mother immediately responded well to the smart, positive and caring staff at Mulberry, all who have good humor and great respect for their clients and families. They all work so well together, a real team spirit and warm, loving atmosphere exists at Mulberry. My mother was initially so worried and upset about needing nursing home and rehabilitation hospital care for an extended period of time, but within the very first hours, she was comfortable and happy at Mulberry. She even enjoys the food and regularly compliments the kitchen staff and the care they take to get her meals just right.

While we look forward to our mother being able to return to her home in a few months, we know that she is in the best possible place right now and is receiving exceptional care from the entire Mulberry family of caregivers. I feel so happy to know she will come home stronger and more capable of caring for herself. She is learning so much about living well at her age and taking better care of herself from all the nurses, counselors and therapists.

The facility itself is also very nice. It is modern, very clean and well taken care of. The grounds are beautiful and the countryside setting is very picturesque and peaceful. As a family, we enjoy taking Mom on a picnic on the grounds, or out into one of the many terraces or courtyards. We also bring our dogs in to visit, which she really enjoys.

There is room for improvement but all in all, my grandma was safe and comfortable here. We had a few incidents.. one dangerous one that could have ben prevented with adequate communication and proper noting from nurses. With as many nursing homes as she has been in, losing clothes is quite common in nursing homes. Each nursing home always recommends writing their last name inside with a permanent marker. The food was so, so. The rooms were better than most nursing homes we had been to. There is absolutely no smell walking in to this place. At meal times you will smell food but there is no urine or feces smell whatsoever. This was extremely important to us as we visited nursing homes that had soiled clothes stacks up on patients tables that sat for hours. Mulberry Health is one of the cleanest nursing homes I have ever been to. At the end of the day, I knew my grandma was taken care of by nurses and staff that truly cared for her well being. I mean, one of the staff went to the store across the street to buy her hair clips and headband to keep her hair out of her face. I recommend giving this place a shot, they will exceed your...

This facility is the absolute best. It is clean, it is updated, and the most important part, the staff.

I am a SW and have worked in long term care and complex care and I will always refer to them. I do not know anyone that works there, but I have been to the facility and had many pts I have worked with referred there for long term care and rehab. It is my number 1 recommendation. The staff is excellent, the response to care is excellent. The rehab is excellent. I have not had one person complain ever in the 10 yrs I have been referring to them. They retain staff. That speaks volumes. It doesn't matter if someone is there through Medicare or Medicaid, the treatment of the residents is gold. If I had to go to a nursing facility, I would choose Mulberry.
