One of the incredible sights along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Chapel Rock can be viewed by boat or a long hike. The boat tours out of Munising are the easiest way to see this natural tree and rock sculpture, and grant views of many more of what the Lake Superior shoreline has to offer. If you are the more adventurous type, you can find your way to the parking lot off of H58 (follow signs). From there, it is a 3+ mile hike to get to the sight, with Chapel Falls as a resting place along the journey. A short walk from Chapel Rock is Chapel Beach, and the combination of the beach, Chapel River entering Lake Superior, and Chapel Rock, make for an unforgettable experience! Read moreOne of the most beautiful hikes i have done! Chapel falls/chapel rock is 6 mile hike to amd fro which is moderately tough with little elevation at times. But at the end the views are completely worth it. Sweeping views of lakeshore and rock tree itd just amazing! This hike should be on a must go list when visiting pictured rocks. There is off roading for about 3 4 miles to reach there. Try reaching early since the parking lot gets full very fast. Definitely...
