This is always one of my favorite spots to visit every single time we are in this area. Even when I have seen it, quite a few times, it's still always worth the visit. There is an easy, flat surface that takes you to the first overlook. You can get a beautiful view of Miner's Castle. If you walk towards the lower overlook, there is a few more spots where you can get some views, but they are slightly obstructed by trees and overgrowth. The lower overlook is down a fairly steep hill. Going down is easy, going back up can take some time if you aren't used to it. From the lower overlook you can see Pictured Rocks and Bridal Veil Falls.
This is also a great spot to stop and have a picnic! There are tables, and little grill areas all over in this area. So stop and enjoy the view and have a snack!
There is a bathroom here as well, but during Covid it has been closed. There are some outhouses there that are still...
Read moreBreathtaking views! Probably the best way to see the cliffs other than from the water. Agree with others that this is a must if you are in the area. Both platforms allowing the view of the Miners Castle Rock are just a few steps from the parking lot. There is also a nice trail leading from Miners Castle Rock to Miners Castle beach, 1 mile each way with some climbing, but not too difficult. If you decide to go make sure you wear good hiking shoes and have some mosquito spray with you. There are clean bathrooms next to the parking lot. But no drinking water was available - take water with you. Also, you may want to pack lunch - this are a lot of picnic...
Read moreNatural rock formation with splendid views of the cliffs. The parking area is large and there are restrooms at the parking lot. Short paved walk to the first viewing area that's handicap accessible. The walk to the formation is paved but has some stairs that take you to the formation abd viewing platform. The view form here is definitely worth the 20 minute walk through some of the most beautiful Forest you'll ever see you can continue down the trail to Miners Beach or go back to the parking lot and drive down...
