Such a bad experience. The young white male who “helped” me was not helpful. He seemed to not know what he was doing. The first thing he asked me was did I have a qscan (or something like that) I said no then he asked me if I already had a label I said no. He asked if I had a address ( in a way of - do you at least have that) I said yes. He seemed overwhelmed and confused as to what to do since I had an larger item. I had a rug around 96 inches long and 7 inches height and depth. Weighing around 25 pounds. I was only shipping the rug back to Georgia which is the next state over. I had already done an online quote and the cheapest ups ground was around $42.00 I figured I would just let them print the label at the store so I didn’t purchase. After taking the rug to the store I was told by the unhelpful. That the cheapest cost would be over $200.00 (that was the cost for next day air online) I asked him how is that possible since what I was quoted online he told me he could not speak for what’s online. You can picture my annoyance. He seemed more concerned with asking me irrelevant questions like “what is the value of the rug” then even giving a little thought to what the real problem was. He seemed to want me out of his hair from the moment I walked in. I think he needs more training on customer service and his job. Rude
Update: I spoke with the manager via email about this. She tried to explain to me how “every inch counts” and she sent over a number of price quotes for various sizes. Some sizes were larger then my item yet every price she gave was still cheaper then the over $200.00 her worker wanted to charge me. When I pointed this out to her I never heard back from her. Very shady. That worker is either dumb don’t know how to do his job, intentionally trying to over charge, or just didn’t want to deal with the woman of color. It’s either 1 of those or all 3. There are no...
Read moreI have used this UPS store for years for various reasons mostly Amazon returns and never had even given a second thought to the fact of to give a One Star Review as service has always friendly and efficient however the package I took in today required a shipping label to be attached which I didn't have the opportunity to print it off and knew I could take care of it at the Drop off location and I very well did for an egregious amount of $3.50 for a single black and white copy . While I understand a charge but an excessive amount to retrieve an email and print is a bit much. It never leaves a customer with a good feeling about doing business with somewhere that when you walk out the door, you feel you have been screwed over as I did. I will probably continue to use the location for Amazon returns as it is very convenient to my home but I can assure you that they will not get another dime of my money other wise. To the owner - I hope you can understand the udder frustration that I'm even writing this review and not trying to be petty about $3.50 but the fact I just did business with a company that is gready enough to charge for something that most places is good...
Read moreHate to say it, but the lady in charge there today was very rude and interrupted me several times. She also claimed to know about what she had no idea— specifically about Amazon returns. She was straight up wrong but wouldn’t let me educate her because, well, she knew it all. All she could tell me was “We aren’t UPS; we’re a franchise.” Gee, thanks. She seemed turned off to me as soon as I walked in, like I was some annoyance, or maybe it’s a prejudice of sorts that it’s probably not socially acceptable to elaborate on. Not sure. Regardless the UPS store “franchise” would do well to let her go.
The lady who had only been there a little while was ten times more helpful and very sweet. For that I will give them a 2-Star review. She should be promoted to fill the void of the woman that should be reassigned.
UPS store it looks like other reviews have mentioned this owner. She is not fit...
