Elliott Ace Hardware — Local services in Muskego

This was the complaint that I filed against this location.

I placed an order for two floor fans under order numbers 61287786-61287812. I arrived early at the store to purchase other items and wait for my order. My order said that it they were working on it and would be available in 30 minutes. The manager (older white male, balding hair, wearing light blue shirt and light blue jeans) approached a female co-worker in the middle of the store. I happened to be standing 2 feet away when the manager asked if the order was taken care of for the fans. The woman replied that she was putting the order together when another customer approached and asked if they had a fan. The worker stated that the customer could have my fan because they were there and my fan would have just sat in the back with the other one. I paid for these two fans in advance, with an order number and receipt for these two fans. I confronted the manager and worker, who lied to me. When caught in the lie, the worker admitted that she lied and gave my fan away. The manager attempted to cover it up by stating that my order was coming tomorrow. I have the emails stating my order was in progress, where I draw the conclusion that the manager changed my “same day pickup” order to the following day; all this after my basement flooded and I needed those fans. Is this how Ace is trained to treat their customers? To lie to their customers? To not abide by purchase agreements? Absolutely...

Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man.

Big Ace fan. While my local Ace has faced hard times with nearby Menards, Home Depot, and Lowe's. It's still open. The Ace in my neighboring town is fantastic. Roleodel shope. Super helpful. And has that small town store feel. If you need lumber go to a box store. Help with small projects, ask someone at Ace.

This Elliot ace hardware is not local. I was visiting the area. It's super clean. Looked very well stocked and organized. Checkout was polite. Help loading car was nice.

It is perhaps the largest Ace I've been to, so to me it lost that small-town feel I appreciate from from Ace. But given all else, it's a small point.

1st time going to the store I've been to other ACE hardwares this one was amazingly clean amazing service I was asked if I needed help by 3 different members of staff in 3 different locations of the store before I even asked a question or notice that they were there I would definitely recommend anyone to go to this Ace Hardware they're looking for small hardware needs amazing tool selection as well shells were stocked full No empty spaces great...
