I will start by saying the product itself just based on visuals as I have not had a chance to put it to use yet is 5 Stars.
The customer service is also worth mentioning. I think the guys there go above and beyond. Whether it’s to keep you engaged or to keep themselves entertained, it’s appreciated and makes me process of browsing smoother and more personal.
My issue is with the suggested tipping during checkout. These products are not made to order. And they are not cheap. So to purchase a product that costs $100+, and then to be met with a tip screen at checkout starting at 18%, I think is just distasteful.
No one forced me to tip. I tipped because I COULD. Important designation which is why I capitalized it lol.
I’m a business owner myself and I understand the work you put into making or distributing the product and all the work put into marketing and selling the product. But as a business owner I also know that you are aware of the pressure of adding a tip option during checkout without any prior mention. The standard of 15-20% is/was for service industry workers. And I think they deserve it. But you’re selling a product. I’m buying the product. I’m supporting your business, and then I have to pay your employees on top of that? Not a good look at all. I bought the product and I tipped. I’m happy with the product, but think you should rethink that tipping option....
