West Marine — Local services in Narragansett

Had a very poor recent experience, order was totally mishandled- their system was down, they couldn’t process my order when I was in the store, so they asked me to phone-in payment at the next business day and they’d be able to process it. Not only were they not able to process the order, they had completely forgotten my order even existed; even though I was reassured that it had been saved for me and all I had to do was call in and put down a credit card number. After that, the clerk I got on the phone was too busy to deal with me over the phone as I was instructed to do, and told me to go online and get my order together there. I had already wasted so much time at no fault of my own that I simply gave up on buying from them this time. Of course there will probably be a ‘next time’ because they’re really the only game in town anymore... Oh... and I’m a West Marine Pro customer, and spend hundreds of dollars there every year. From now on I will exercise every option available to me before setting foot in this store again. Totally disappointed...

Inexperienced staff called for stuff was told they didn't have it found it on the website went to the store picked up the items that the staff member said they did not have in the store. Going there in regards to get parts to work on boats was given the wrong items and was told they don't know or they can't get the items and again found said items on the website went back into the store surprise surprise now I...

I went in store to purchase gas tank for outboard and hose. On boat no car took Uber. Got back to boat the hose they sell has no connectors on it just raw ends. Got back to boat before I opened package. Stuck in a marina charging 160.00 per night. Thanks...
