Color Trends Hair Salon — Local services in Nashua

I’ve gone to this salon a few times and it’s never been as good as the first. The first time I went here my hair came out PERFECTLY, but the two times I went afterwards it just kept getting worse. I took my last hair problems at this place in stride because it was no big deal, it was easy enough for me to fix or change on my own. The color wasn’t right on one and the other has some issues with the cut that I dealt with when I got home. I chalked it up to bad luck one one and a change of stylist for the second. I recently I got my hair done for the fourth time and lopped off my beautiful long hair. It’d grown out a lot during the pandemic and pretty much lived in a bun to keep it out of my way. I went to about chin length, something I was used to having before, and wanted some color done and the underneath shaved. First, the color wasn’t what I wanted, I wanted lighter and the highlights make my hair look permanently oily and there wasn’t a good blend so it’s very abrupt at the front. Second, I told the stylist I change my part frequently from deep side to middle and they didn’t account for it choosing a random part in between the two so when I style my hair at home using my natural parts there’s always odd pieces sticking out The final nail in the coffin is the shave underneath. I showed pictures of my OWN hair how it had been previously for her to use as the perfect reference and she RUINED it. It’s uneven on both sides, the line is wonky and one goes higher than the other on the sides of my head. Worse, she didn’t connect the undercut correctly. I had a little triangle shaved in the back of my head and instead of connecting that with the sides being newly shaved and making my hairline come to a point in the back making a V shape there’s a notch where she couldn’t be bothered to redo the part so there’s a W Shape that’s also lopsided! It stands out like a sore thumb and when I try to put my hair up it looks haggard. The only defense I can offer the stylist she did tell me to let her know if I wanted something changed but it’s not worth the drive for me. I went out of my way to get to this salon because I thought they’d do the job right and I’ve never had a haircut I’ve hated so much in my life. I always get nervous going to the hair salon because I am never sure of what I really want to do with my hair. I can never make up my mind on what I think will look good on me, so most times I just don't bother making an appointment for myself until it is too far-gone for me to with anymore!! I finally decided to do something for myself and called the salon and spoke to Chloe over the phone. I told her I was thinking of doing some highlights and definitely needed a cut. We made the appointment to be with her within the next day or so. I went to my appointment and met with her and she was so nice and easy to talk to. I told her what I was thinking and she took the time to go over everything with me and we picked out a color together for my highlights. I trusted what she was telling me and just went with it and am I so glad that I did! I feel amazing... my hair looks gorgeous! The color of the highlights are absolutely perfect with my hair color. It was just what I was looking for! I am back at work after a few days off and every single person who has come into my office has said how amazing my hair looks! I am so glad I saw color trends as I was driving by and decided to make an appointment! Chloe did an amazing job and I have already made my next appointment with her!!!!! ...

Horrible customer service. Experience was as bad as it gets. The stylist completely missed the mark on a full dye and continued to tone until the hair was basically crispy and the ends were completely fried. Had waited over two years since last dye to ensure hair was healthy and all old dye was out before hand. Walked out with horrible color and half fried hair.

Another stylist at a different location couldn't believe how bad it was and very carefully corrected the color but warned that the color couldn't be exactly what was wanted without causing more damage.

The owner refused to refund even though the stylist admitted it was a botched job. Ultimately had to pay double as the second salon obviously charged as well.

I will continue to tell everyone I know to avoid this place. Had the owner apologized, had some empathy for the situation and refunded due to the circumstances it would be understandable and would just avoid that particular stylist. However, due to the owners complete lack of customer service or empathy for the fact that someone who may not have had any extra money to pay to get it fixed would have to walk around with their hair that bad please don't...
