The first time I came I had an outstanding massage here, very professional staff that gave great massages and paid attention to detail. Unfortunately, after the experience I had this past Friday, I don't think I'll go back.
I got a table massage and a chair massage after. Both were sloppy and just not the quality I thought was associated with Bucca. During the table massage my hair kept getting pulled because the man kept catching it between his hand and my shoulder. Occasionally he kind of slapped it out of the way, but I kept having to reach up to stop him from pulling it. The whole thing was just kind of sloppy - mediocre massage, no leg bolster, etc, like he was just hurrying through it.
The foot massage wasn't great either, and when I asked for more pressure he started erratically rubbing really hard and fast with his knuckle against my foot, rather than just adding pressure normally. He completely skipped the part where you get the back massage in the folding chair at the end. When I mentioned it after he finished, he shrugged it off, saying "I rubbed your head for five minutes and your feet for 55." I didn't know I had to specify that I wanted what was on the menu for a regular chair massage, or keep track of time myself to make sure I got it. This was later at night as they were about to close so the nice man who normally rings you up at the front wasn't there. While Bucca is reasonably priced compared to other places, it still adds up if you get a longer treatment, and it would be nice if the staff seemed to care about your experience.
As I said, my other experience at Bucca was really exceptional and I was hoping the whole staff was like the person I had that first time. Unfortunately you have to be careful who you get, or maybe don't go...

I am physically active at work, a lot of repetitive movement, and I came in with significant muscle and joint pain. My therapist was very skilled, working confidently and with authority while still having very soothing touch. By the end of my 90min, the painful parts of my body were no longer that way. It’s now two hours later and I feel fantastic. I feel my 60min reflexology session with 30min hand reflexology added was more than fairly priced at $100.
I left in a relaxed stupor and failed to get my therapist’s name. If the business owner sees this and could update me, I would love to request...
Read moreWhen you walk into the space, it is an open room with about six laid-back chairs and for massage chairs all out in the open. My friend and I were escorted to a couple of laid back chairs close to each other. After about 30 minutes we were escorted to the massage chair and finished our experience there.
The gentleman who worked on me, release tension in my neck and shoulders, legs and feet. Used continuous effleurage and sweeping motions, especially on my legs and feet. When we move to the massage chair, he used more compressions with the sweeping motions on my back. My legs again touchdown with some quick impressions while in place on the leg rest. My arms got some quick compressions in the style of breaking bread. The palms of my hands got a quick sweeping compression massage...
